The Decision Is McHale's

Post#1 » by Klomp » Thu Feb 26, 2009 5:52 pm

Wolves owner Glen Taylor says he wants McHale to return to coach next season and says the decision is McHale's.

On Wednesday, McHale was asked about the chance of him coaching another year. It quite possibly could be his only choice to remain full time with the organization.

"I've got to improve a lot as a coach, too," he said. "I'll worry about that later. I've got to worry about being a good coach against Utah, not next year. I'm not that worried about that right now."

I think most of us would agree that the only capacity McHale should stay in with the org is either as coach or a big man tutor.

The players really respond to Mchale and that is a large part of coaching today with the egos involved.

Agreed. I would like to see him stick around one more year to develop them and then hand the keys over to someone the players respect.

I'm happy with McHale maintaining some input in the general management role. So far so good with McStackleberg or whatever they're called.

I think the constant travel and extra workload is taking its toll on him. As Mac's coaching career has progressed so has his zombie resemblance lol. I do hope he comes back though.

This has been obvious since he stepped down.

He has really improved my outlook on the team though. Even without their top scorer and offensive player..As well as their best defensive player (Brew), we are still able to stay in games.

And while staying competitive, were improving our draft status day by day.
