Apparently the Czar wants to get back into coaching, do you think it's a possibility that he could end up in Minny?
http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... _coaching/He's known for his highly defensive, methodical style of coaching and I can't really see it working here, given that we're not a team that excels in defense in the slightest. Still, it has to be an upgrade from McHale and I'd be interested to see this team take a different approach.

Fratello didn't have a problem coaching a high octane offense back in his Atlanta days. I don't see why he'd have trouble doing it for us. He's a good coach and would be a much much better choice than castoffs like Sam Mitchell.
I don't think McHale is necessarily a bad coach for the Timberwolves, though. He won coach of the month for a reason: players were blossoming after he took over until the Jefferson injury.
He's a short-term option though, unless he just whines about retiring as a Phil Jackson-esque habit.

Oh, by all means. I'm actually an advocate of McHale's, it's hard to accurately gauge his ability properly with Jefferson and Brewer out for the count, and we did have that excellent January run as you said. I still can't help but feel that we need an upgrade in the coaching department in order to 'turn the corner' and make a legitimate playoff push within the coming seasons, and someone of Fratello's pedigree could be that upgrade.
I honestly think with Fratello at the helm, a solid draft and a healthy Jefferson we could be a fringe playoff team at worst. Perhaps a touch ambitious in such a lop-sided conference, but it's a goal I feel is attainable regardless.

I'm all for the Czar. get it done.
not that I want to see McHale gone but I think he's better suited as an assistant coach or big men coach.

Czar would need a vet team. I think we could transform into a 24-28 age range vet team with a couple trades, but we are most likely adding some 19-22 range people. The czar has the best tools, but does he have the patience and John Maxwell skills to handle a young team?

I prefer Fratello over any Wolves hometown favorites, like Mitchell.
