Don't make me cry. When that happens next year I might just give up on basketball as a sport.

Oh rev, we have our first AAU tournament this weekend with the big boys. I have 2 Juniors, 6 Sophomores, and an 8th grader playing up in a 11th/12th grade bracket. I'm predicting hardware. How'd the season finish off for you?

Foye, Brewer, Gomes, Telfair, Smith, Carney. In my mind that's 6 guys for 4 eventual bench spots, though obvious some will be starting next year. It'd be fricken spectacular to pull a 2-for-1 or 3-for-1 with those guys and upgrade. Without some trades, I don't see how bringing Carney back can be justified. But last year they managed to keep Gomes and Smith (still a bad move to keep both) despite lacking adequate justification, so who knows.

John..

took a team that was 2 games under .500 the year before and made them 30-20. We lost the ship by 3 pts.

Deeney, I am willing to bet Brewer starts next year.

You've got a point, but out of those 6 guys, Carney's probably better suited than any of them (outside of maybe Foye) to be a role player off the bench. You can always use athletes that can shoot 3's.

On top of that, I think it can be argued at this point and time that Carney has proven to be a more useful play than Brewer. Most of us believe and hope that Brewer will be this really good player but he hasn't been able to contribute yet to this team as much as Carney has. I don't think Brewer is penciled in to start or anything right now.

Once we get Rubio we will have to bring El Carneycero back. Who else would Ricky routinely throw backdoor lobs to?

Josh Smith recently missed an open court dunk. I hope we don't ever try to get him, he sucks. Can't even make one dunk.

Why do like three people on this board have a sense of humor? We're Timberwolves fans... If we don't laugh we'll cry.

I was just joking on Brewer cause I can't help but picture the time he was stuffed by the rim on a dunk. He's plenty athletic, obviously. But seriously, that's funny.

I get sensitive with Corey. Seems like he gets bashed a lot and I think he is a very good piece.

I agree, and that's why I think we really need to upgrade the 2 and 3 positions with loads of athleticism (i'm looking at you DeRozan or Aminu). It's okay to have a few guys that are more skill oriented but obviously we need to pair that with a lot of athleticism in the other spots. That's also partially why i'm a little iffy on drafting James Harden.

Trade Miller for Earl Watson and re-sign Carney.

We better get a draft pick or two in that deal.

Yeah I was just giving an example. Trade Miller for a vet with a smaller contract and use the saved money to resign Carney. I would say Watson+Carney>Miller, not that it changes the fact that the Thunder would have to add more.

wow, that is a rather bad trade sir. Watson is hardly better than Bassy and not worth his money.

Our best bet is to combine pieces for a big piece. At the same time a 3/1 or 2/1 creates more roster spot.
