Wolves to hire GM

Taylor also said the team will have a general manager-type to head up basketball operations, ending the committee-style approach it has used in recent seasons.

i wouldn't mind it being someone like fred hoiberg, but hopefully he learns the job quickly, because he's definitely not going to be everybody's favorite.

New blood? End of the era McHale? A world of possibilities on the one hand waiting to see if someone is competent and the other fearful that deviates much from the beaten path, which I think is correct.

End of an era McHale

PS: as an assistant coach I would like to continue McHale.

I'd like Fred Hoiberg and a veteran GM who knows the business (NOT McHale!!!)

I like Freddie but I don't know. I just feel like anybody who has been bred and brought up in this institution is going to fail. My confidence is nearly shot with these guys even though they have been doing better.

it should be Hoiberg. They told everybody he was being groomed to be the next GM, what are they going to do now, change their mind? They owe it to Hoiberg. You guys should want Hoiberg, he would've taken Mayo and kept him.

I completely agree that it should be Hoiberg. I think that since he has been a part of the front office things have been different. He was a great help as a player and I want him to have his shot now as promised. We were told he was being groomed as the GM and I think he deserves his chance.

To be honest, if they didn't go with Hoiberg, I wouldn't be mad. I really do think this organization needs to new blood, a new point of view with things. Not that Hoiberg can't provide that, but just the fact that he's kinda been groomed by the same group that has been here, I just wouldn't mind seeing a fresh perspective on things.

One thing's for sure, I'm willing to bet a lot find this job pretty attractive since it's got a young stud in Al Jefferson to build around, plus a lot of youth and few bad contracts. Anyone could come in here and have some success no doubt.

no you don't, I'd probably trade our future first rounders for heroin. And I don't even do drugs, I'm just really screwed up in the head.

Heroin would likely make our team faster and in better shape, so I'm not totally against trading picks for heroin.
