How would we end up with the 4th pick? I doubt OKC and Memphis pass us

Yuck. I don't see that team making the playoffs anytime in the next 5 years.

I could see that happening, but it really doesn't get me excited.

Lol such a conservative but possibly realistic draft klomp :)

Of course most of us here expect Rubio to be the starter next year putting up Chris Paul numbers. The other fantasy is Hinrich coming in with Gary Payton defense and Thabeet being the second coming of Mutombo, with JVG as coach making us one of the best defensive teams in the league and in the playoff hunt.

Us conservatives are the closest thing to being realistic, and I'm not only talking basketball.

I'd be pretty pissed if we went into next season with the exact same starting lineup

Except, its not the exact same starting 5. We've never started a game with those 5 together.

That would be a very disappointing summer, it is realistic, but frankly I expect more this summer, really need a PG more fundamental, and spends a top 5 player in that if all goes well is to play as much as 26-28 minutes I see a stupid, Love-Jefferson has a bright future and hope to see you covering 70 minutes in the future, and spend the top 5 for those 26 minutes that follow ..... And Bassy and Maynor is not what we need in the PG if we aspire to Play Off Ricky soon need a base or a veteran now.

Sorry for my English.

I wouldn't mind this scenario if there was an additional trade for more backcourt help (Hinrich, J. Richardson, or ?). As is, there is no improvement in the backcourt over this year, although the frontcourt is solid. Any scenario that has Telfair starting is bad in my book.

Draft Evans, then have Hinrich and Foye split the Derek Fisher role. Telfair goes to Chicago-- as he plays the same tempo as Rose.

My turn...

Draft:
6 - Tyreke Evans
18 - BJ Mullens
28 - Tyler Hansbrough
47 - Josh Heytvelt
48 - Vitor Faverani - (Kept overseas)

Trade:
Bulls Get - Craig Smith and Ryan Gomes
Bulls Give - Kirk Hinrich

Rockets Get - Mike Miller, Brian Cradinal, and Mark Madsen
Rockets Give - Tracy McGrady and 2011 Lottery Protected 1st

Wolves Get - Tracy McGrady, Kirk Hinrich, and 2011 Lottery Protected 1st
Wolves Give - Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal, Ryan Gomes, Mark Madsen, and Craig Smith

Start of the season roster:
C - Mullens/Heytvelt
PF - Love/Hansbrough
SF - Brewer/
SG - Foye/Evans
PG - Hinrich/Telfair

Roster after the New Year:
C - Jefferson/Mullens
PF - Love/Hansbrough
SF - McGrady/
SG - Foye/Brewer
PG - Evans/Hinrich/Telfair

But let's be honest, Love will have blown out his knee by then in the Sophomore Curse. Heytvelt would be sent to the D-League when we're healthy.

Minutes dsitribution when everyone's healthy
C - Jefferson(28)/Mullens(20)
PF - Love(32)/Jefferson(8)/Hansbrough(8)
SF - McGrady(30)/Brewer(18)/
SG - Foye(30)/Brewer(10)/Evans(8)
PG - Evans(16)/Hinrich(26)/Telfair(6)

Telfair is available to be moved at the deadline. Foye is given backcourt help in the form of a couple bigger point guards who can defend 2's for him. Hinrich picks up the slack of outside shooting. Frye gives us a tall, long, high post player who'd mesh well with Jefferson and Love. Mullens is allowed to develop into David Robinson Jr. McGrady becomes the go to wing player we've lacked, and Evans is allowed to learn the mentality of a franchise wing. We're longer, more athletic, better defenders, and more versatile.

And the end of the season we have Utah's pick to make up for losing our pick to the Clippers, and we also have the ability to sign McGrady to a longer deal if he proves healthy and of a sound team mentality.

My offseason hope.

Draft
Hashem Thabeet
Trade the Heat and Celtics pick to move up and get Stephon Curry or Ty Lawson

Free agency
Re-sign
Rodney Carney 2 years 3.5 million
Sheldon Williams 2 years 2.5 million
Offers
Ramon Sessions 4 years 24 million

Trading Block looking for a starting SF with more athletic ability
Craig Smith
Ryan Gomes
Brian Cardinal
Jazz pick next year

PG Sessions - Curry - Telfair
SG Foye - Carney - Curry
SF ???? - Miller - Brewer
PF Jefferson - Love - Williams
C Thabeet - Jefferson - Williams

Realistic SF's i'd like to see them try and trade for

Luol Deng - Not a star and he is over paid but he is solid in every phase of the game and a drastic upgrade over Gomes at both ends of the floor.
Richard Jefferson - Gives the team a very legit second option to Jefferson and is a huge upgrade over Gomes on defense but would likely require Mike Miller in place of Gomes in the trade.
Josh Howard - Gives the team a strong upgrade over Gomes again would likely require Mike Miller in the trade.
Corey Maggette - Gives the team a great offensive upgrade but the defense is about equal to Gomes.
