What will it take for the wolves to get a nat tv game?

Just curious. What do you think would have to happen for the wolves to get a game on national tv? Draft Rubio? Major trade? What would land us a game?

Either Blake Griffin or Ricky Rubio in the draft, though I'm still not sure on Rubio.

I mean, what would have to happen between now and the actual season to get the wolves on tv national season. We can't win any more games or make the palyoffs between now and the.

Nothing, then. Blake or Rubio or Wall would probably get us 1. A giant trade might get us 1. KG announcing he's retiring after next season might get us a Boston/MN game. That's about all I see.

as deeney pointed out we'd need to make a major transaction in order to gain some media attention. be it drafting Griffin (or Rubio probably), trading for a disgruntled or overpaid/injury prone star player (I'm looking at you Gilbert) or signing a big name coach (JVG?).

btw: I do not mean to say the Wolves should trade for Arenas or sort of. just sayin' what would need to happen.

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU WANT TO TRADE FOR ARENAS!?!?!?!? ;-) j/k

It would take winning the lottery and then trading Griffin for some legit all-star. In other words, not going to happen.

DeMar DeRozan and his high flying act would certainly help. Love's outlet passes to him would be crazzzzzy.

I think some of us are burned by Green and underwhelmed by Carney and that keeps us from DeRozan, but DeRozan is the anti-green/carney. He works very hard to initiate contact, getting to the line often. His long-term weapon will be the mid-range pull up jumper and that could make him an elite scorer. My worry is what he wants. if he has the drive he could be special. If he does not he will be Stevenson. Maybe he could end up being Iggy? That would be special, but it depends if he is willing to work for it. I only worry because he has a reputation for not caring about defense.

That's 4 words you illiterate wildebeast!

I love me some Demar DeRozan, though. Him and Evans paired up and high flying alley-oop dunks foreva!

Or Rubio and DeRozan even more.

Trade Miller(EC), Telfair, and #18 to New Jersey for Simmons(EC), Dooling, and #10, after we get the #2 spot in the lottery.

C - Jefferson/Smith
PF - Love/Gomes
SF - Brewer/Simmons
SG - DeRozan/Foye
PG - Rubio/Dooling

Wolves take on a couple extra bucks this year to move up in the draft and get a long term answer at the 2, and also aquire a little more size in the backcourt in Dooling. Our outside shooting take a little hit, but our perimeter defense becomes the strength of our team pretty quickly. Plus we get to watch outlets and alley-oops to DeRozan and Brewer all day.

Nets drop down in the draft to save money this year and bring in a better fit in Mike Miller.
