I was thinking it over and I probably would have to take Al too.

Not bad for someone who has yet to make the All-Star team. I saw no David West...interesting.

Yeah, a lot of guys named Big Al as their future big man.
A bit OT but this statement scared me a lot:

Two full years? Is that true? Always thought you just need about 6 up to 9 months to fully recover physically from a torn ACL and again another 6 months to become the player you've been before, which means I expected Big Al to be in shape back again by the end of the next season.
btw: I have to admit that I'd go with Rose/Durant, too.

Depends on what you mean by "Fully recover." It shouldn't take more than a year for him to get back playing, from what I remember it looked like they're targeting 10-11 months. But to be back where he was, the time scale is longer; for some people it's never.

The ACL thing has gotten better. It used to be where you could possibly be done forever with a torn ACL. I think that with any injury you generally aren't back 100 percent until you have played about the same amount of time you missed. or were hurt. So if it takes Al 6 months to recover, he probably wont be playing like Big Al for another 4-8 months.

Nene tore his ACL and he's as good as ever. Al's best seasons are ahead of him if he takes his rehab and conditioning seriously, I just worry how much it might have shortened his career

For some stupid reason I forgot all about this topic. I saw the title and thought it was talking about NBA 2K developers, take two interactive, making a new game division. I thought maybe college hoops or 2K football was coming back. What the heck is wrong with me today?

If I did, my tongue wouldn't be bleeding.

Yeah, like 5 years later. Ok, that's probably an exaggeration and I don't have any real idea how long it took for him to get back, but it was a long time.

it took nene 17 months to fully recover, but he didn't seem to rehab as smart as he could have

I did my acl 3 years ago and couldn't train or play last week due to soreness, and I think it's still sore. Missed most of the season last year too after my knee got a knock in training and was too sore to play with.
But I didn't rehab it much, I don't have a Wolves personal gym room that Brewer and Al have.

to put in a nutshell:
We will make another trip to lottery in 2010 because of our deep frontcourt hole with Big Al trying to fully recover from the torn ACL and KLove sitting out with a BKWSI (broken-knee-wolves-sophomore injury).
Man a front court with Rhino and Mad Dog is going to be a lot of fun
To stop sarcasm, there's at least some hope, Big Als Injury won't take too long, because his game simply isn't based that much on athleticism but decent low post moves and fakes. So that's my light at the end of the tunnel.

Oh, almost forgot McHale's been kicked out.
I will miss his white guy man crush.

I've seen others express this idea, but I don't think I agree. Jefferson's game is entirely built around his low post offense, if he's not giving you that he's not giving you much (well, he is a good rebounder, but that would be affected by a bum knee as well). I think his low post offense depends in a large measure on his athletic ability - he doesn't overpower people but like you say he fakes and feints until his opponent is off balance and then he goes to the basket. But all that twisting and faking requires very good footwork, I think his game is going to be seriously affected by how well his knee recovers. He is in sharp contrast to a guy like Chris Webber who was still a quality player even with only one good leg because he could do so much more on the court.
