Re: David Kahn?
He sounds like a tool. Friggin Taylor and his damn unexplainable loyalty. Should have offered the house to Lindsey and then gone back to Mankato.

I was really feeling optimistic about this offseason a couple weeks ago. I don't know why.

Re: David Kahn?
Sad part is I KAHN believe they offered it to him. That's the Wolves for you.

Nice Randy. So Taylor wants to hire the guy who needs permission from his wife to take the job? You have got to be kidding. Another disaster.

Kahn sounds like a business man looking to make a buck and move the team for Taylor.. sounds like the wolves days are numbered.

Also, this guy’s backgrounds looks to be as an Administrator, not a judge of talent. This could be a disaster.
Good for Lindsey getting out. Why on earth would anyone want to possibly have to keep guys like Stack, Hoiberg (seems like a very nice guy), and McHale around when they have proven nothing? This is an organization on the bottom - why shouldn’t someone be able to come in and start fresh? This hire would be so disappointing, and a sign to move on.
So, how is the Wild’s search for a GM going?

So it came down to just Pfund and Kahn? That’s the best we can do with 3 #1 picks, oodles of future cap space, Al Jefferson as a building, block, etc. to offer?
This sends the message that no viable candidate would want the position based on the restrictions that Glen Taylor has placed.
It’s laughable that the new guy would be required to keep Hoiberg, Stack, etc. If McHale is allowed to stay, then you know the new GM will end up being nothing more than a puppet with Glen Taylor calling the shots.
For a man that has been successful in every business venture he’s had (other than owning the Wolves), Glen Taylor strikes me as a guy who needs to back away and let someone come and blow this whole thing up and start over.

Glen Failure lost Lindsey because he wanted to keep the toilet from flushing? I hope that Taylor realizes that what he’s doing is a disgrace to Minnesota, and to the NBA, and I for one am making sure I do not buy any products from his companies, nor will I buy any tickets to the Wolves for this upcoming season. If we are just getting another knee padded yes man for Failure that will allow Kevin McFailedabortion to remain the coach I think the best hope for basketball in Minnesota is a Tornado.

Re: David Kahn?
Seriously though. I'm sure we have good people in the front office, but if we have an ambitious GM who wants to come in and blow crap up. Let him! The only thing I would be against is him trading Big Al. I would also like to request that Hoiberg stay on board but other than that, let him do what he feels he has to do. I want a demolition man, tear the building down and put up a new one. I really hope this doesn't come back to bite us in the ass.

Hoiberg will be the GM. I haven't swayed from that belief.

Re: David Kahn?
This is totally baseless and unfair but when I look at this picture I just think ball dropper. Like he's looking off into the distance thinking,
"Yea.... this is a big ball. I gots plans for this ball right here. I'm gonna drop this ball, drop it so hard. Right off the top of the IDS tower and straight into the depths of hell. Yea..."
I really hope I'm wrong and just being paranoid and unjust.

Re: David Kahn?
I'm trying to find the silver lining for Kahn, article says he worked as Asst GM and GM for the Pacers for 9 years, they did some good things like trading Jalen for Brad Miller/Artest, trading Vonteego Cummings and a late 1st for Jeff Foster, signing Foster and Artest to ridiculously low ball extensions, drafting Al Harrington 25th etc, problem is have no idea where Kahn begins and Donnie Walsh ends with that organization.
Personally I guess I have no problem with David Kahn since I don't know him and will have to defer to their personal interactions with him and interviews, but I'm still confused about Hoiberg; was I just imagining this whole thing that Hoiberg is the asst. GM/GM in waiting and once McHale goes, Hoiberg steps in? I had it in my mind that that's what the deal was.....

Re: David Kahn?
Does anyone know based on past teams/interviews what kind of offensive/defensive philosophy he prefers? Obviously the coach is the one that will really instill the philosophy but i am curious what kind of coach he may hire?
