Bill Simmons for GM?

Post#1 » by He Hate Me » Mon May 18, 2009 8:50 pm

Bill Simmons aka the Sports Guy of ESPN has been campaigning to be the Twolves GM.

What are your thoughts on this? The guy did just write a 700 page book on how to build a good NBA team. I think it'd be pretty sweet.

Tell him up front that he can't make any deals involving the Celtics and I'm okay with it.

Something needs to be cleared up: Jim Stack is and has been our GM for quite a while. We need a new VP of Basketball Operations (that was McHale's former post). I wouldn't be surprised if we do get a business guy for the position and let Hoiberg/Stack fill the personnel decision making role.

Is it even a choice? He seems to be the only one left who wants the job.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''
