Most likely AP and Baby Jesus.
Unfortunately we lost our two of our biggest ones in a short period of time, KG and Torii.

Dan Gladden doesn't belong on the list, but I can't tell if you're joking. I think you can make an argument for Marion Gaborik.

Re: Face of mn sports?
Dan Gladden has more toughness in his pinky than Mary Ann Gabby has in her entire body.
If you want to go just from the 80's on, that's tough to find a 10th. Jesse Ventura?
OT: Wikipedia has a comment about Puckett when talking about the game 6 homerun, "Puckett, with a long reputation and history as a "hack" batter who swung at anything hittable", um huh? .318 career hitter was a "hack"?

Gaborik has been best player on the Wild since their existence. He's definitely the face of the resurgence of professional hockey in Minnesota.

that is pretty accurate though, he swung at lots of bad pitches; thing is, he could still get a basehit from them because his strike zone extended about 6 inches beyond the plate
I stand by Gladden, women wanted him and men wanted to be like him. He had the hulk hogan cut when Hulkamania was still strong, and you have to have 1more Twin from the world series era since they were our only franchise in any period of time that ever won anything and Gladden was key to both series wins. The other options are weak, Sweet Music Viola was only relevant in '87, Jack Morris was only relevant in '91 plus he totally betrayed us signing with the Jays about 45 minutes after game 7, he can go **** himself to be honest. He'll never make it onto any of my all time lists, and thats a hefty punishment my friends. The main competition for Gladden would be Gaetti, but he wasn't as charismatic and we need a scrappy everyman on the list.
Maybe I'm biased since Gladden is my favorite player of all-time, but nah, if anything he should be top 5.

Re: Face of mn sports?
He definitely has a world of talent, and a well developed pansey bone.

Gaborik could care less about Minnesota, all the guys on my list aren't just meaningful players, but they were for the most part, true Minnesotans and wanted to be here. Except for Modano probably, you can never trust a hockey player.

You already have Hrbek and Puckett.
EDIT: I read that wrong. You said 1 more, not more than 1.

Well, I'd still go for talent over a hustle player. I'd put Santana or maybe Peterson on the list. Heck, even Morneau. Really I don't see how you can put Gladden over Morneau.

Re: Face of mn sports?
How about Neal Broten?
Broten is considered by some to be the most accomplished Minnesota born hockey player. He is the only player to have played on teams that won the NCAA hockey championship (University of Minnesota in 1979), the Olympic Gold Medal (Team USA, 1980), and the Stanley Cup (New Jersey Devils, 1995). He made a total of three appearances in the state tournament. His 1978 individual high school record of four assists in one period still stands today.
He'd not only steal Gaborik's cake, he'd eat it to.

Dan Gladden epitomizes everything that's great about sports. He'll run over a wall or a catcher if that's what it takes to make a good play. And now as a coach, if you're a jacknuts player, he'll slam you against the wall and threaten to kick your arse. We don't have enough of that in sports. I want to see Gardy bodyslam Carlos Gomez the next time he showboats a routine flyout.
