ESPNU will televise five hours of NBA draft combine, which begins Wednesday and will include UCLA's Jrue Holiday and Darren Collison.

ESPNU to Televise Extensive Coverage of the 2009 NBA Draft Combine May 28-29

ESPNU will televise five hours of the 2009 NBA Draft Combine from Chicago on May 28 and 29. The network will offer three hours Thursday, May 28, beginning at 2 p.m. and two hours Friday, May 29, beginning at 10 a.m. ESPNU cameras will provide an up-close look at the 2009 draft prospects as they test and train in various strength and skill drills. Mike Gleason will host the show from an on-site set alongside analysts Steve Lavin and Jay Williams, as well as ESPN.com's NBA Insider expert Chad Ford. ESPN.com senior writer Andy Katz will give live courtside reports and interviews with players and coaches. Some of the top draft prospects expected to participate include Davidson's Stephen Curry, USC's DeMar DeRozan, Memphis' Tyreke Evans, Oklahoma's Blake Griffin, UCLA's Jrue Holiday, North Carolina's Tyler Hansbrough and Ty Lawson, and Connecticut's Hasheem Thabeet.

The combine could be *big* for him if he tests 6'9. There are always some surprises at the Combine.

I watched the PGs and SGs today and it was pretty dull. Lots of boring drills that don't really show you much in terms of in game ability. Stephen Curry and Jrue Holiday stood out above everyone else in the PG session and Gerald Henderson and DeMar DeRozan looked like men amongst boys in the SG session. Henderson hit maybe 5 or 6 threes in a row from NBA range in the 3 on 3 and 4 on 4 stuff they did full court. DeRozan hit a couple nice pull up jumpers and crammed home some ridiculous dunks in transition. That was pretty much all I got out of it today though. I wish they would have played more full court competitive drill sets like they did at the end.

Harden, Rubio and Tyreke Evans didn't participate.
