Harden won't visit MN T-Wolves

Draft Express - "James Harden for example has elected not to conduct any interviews with teams drafting outside the top five, canceling a scheduled interview at the Westin Hotel with the Cleveland Cavaliers for example. He also reportedly will not be conducting any competitive workouts with anyone anywhere in the draft process. A source close to him tells us he feels very good about the possibility of being selected by Oklahoma City or Washington, and for right now is not planning on visiting the Minnesota Timberwolves."

Don't know if that means we won't want him, but it's gotta hurt the chances of us wanting to take him.

Your title sounds misleading. It is not anything personal. This is common for prospects. Harden sees himself as top-5, why would he visit a team below 5?

If I was an agent I would have the prospect at least interview with teams. You never know who will fall in love and trade up.

Well we're just gonna have to trade up into the top 5 then...

If Holiday and Thabeet are gone he is the next guy on my list.

As long as we get a long look at DeRozan and Evans, since they'll probably be the best guys available.

Disappointing news. Harden is probably T-3rd on my bigboard of general prospects with Thabeet.

you have holiday ahead of him? I am a huge Holiday fan, but Harden is the clear #3 prospect.

What exactly is Harden bringing to the table that he can basically say he is going top 5 no doubt? I honestly don't see what everyone else sees in him. I would much rather see Evans or DeRozan come to minny

Harden seems like the safe pick while Derozan and Evans have potentially more reward but are riskier picks. We're nowhere close to being a playoff team so I'm willing to roll the dice on one of the two freshmen.

Sad. Thinks way too much of himself.

He's really not. He's in the mix, but every mock draft I've seen has him behind Thabeet.

Hard to tell exactly what's smoke and what's real this time of year, but JG's latest article made it sound like OKC would pass on Rubio for Harden which means that Rubio may slide down to Sacramento (assuming Memphis takes Thabeet).

I think the top four on the Wolves' board has to be Griffin, Rubio, Thabeet and Harden. After that it's murky. Personally I like the upside of Holiday or Derozan, but I could see them taking Curry or Evans. For whatever reason I can't see them taking a smaller point like Flynn or Jennings, could be way off base on that though.

On a side note, if we do take Derozan, I really can't see him on Brewer coexisting with neither a great ball handler or shooter.

That's ok, it makes for the perfect draft in:

#6 - Jennings
#18 - Mullens (or trade up to get him)

Evans, Harden, and Holiday are my top three. DeRozan's dropped to fourth. Jennings=ish.

How has Holiday all of the sudden come into our thoughts at #6? Didn't we talk at one point about possibly picking him up at 18? Why the sudden change of heart?

My list is:
1. Harden
2. DeRozan
3. Evans
4. Jennings
5...if we take anyone besides these guys I'll puke, unless someone like Thabeet or Rubio drops(not likely).

We originally had him listed at #4 in our first draft board back in January, then his play dropped and the "experts" started dropping him, so we forgot about him, but workouts will jump him back up into the top 10.
