Ack!: Hinrich for #6?

5/ COUNTRY CLUB TRADE? -- Don't really know why the Bulls, who now have a nice three-guard combo, would go for this, but the Mix hears that the Wolves could offer the No. 6 pick in a very weak draft for Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich. Think of it: A combo guard who can even defend (including forwards as big and strong and talented as Paul Pierce). One down side: He has already been in the league for five years. Trent Tucker's idea might be even better: Offer Mike Miller for Hinrich.

Words couldn't describe how much I would hate this

That would be Jaric-esque. Please let this be a Barrerio brain fart.

No way we would eat that big contract AND give up the #6 pick for Hinrich. I wouldn't even do Miller for Hinrich. That's an expiring contract and he's a better player. I would say trade Miller + 18 for Hinrich + bulls pick but its only a 16. If they had a late lotto pick I'd do it but otherwise no.

1. Barreiro can eat me.

2. I might be sold on a Hinrich trade, but not for either of those assets unless they're part of a larger trade, preferably one that includes Rose. But not going to happen, so see 1.

Well, I'm going to just assume it's going to happen until 24 hours after the draft. Unfreakingreal.

I'm not against acquiring Hinrich, but I'm going to assume there would be more to the deal. I'd also have to agree the draft is looking bleak in terms of impact players, and with that being said, it does not make me feel real good about locking up another unproven player into a contract.

Hinrich has some qualities and feel he'll respond very well to a change of scenery here or somewhere else.

He's a former columnist for the Star Tribune and current radio talk show host. He's from the Chicago influenced portion of Indiana, but I don't think he's plugged-in in any significant way. Has a good relationship with some Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times writers, but nothing of note.

Hinrich for #6. No. We'd need a lot more. Hinrich is an improvement at PG, but we need an impact player with #6.

Hinrich for Miller. I'd do it. I like Miller, but Hinrich would be a better fit. If we got a SG with #6 then a Hinrich, Foye, #6 could be a nice rotation.

This is brutal, terrible deal. Definitely can't say Barreiro has a great basketball mind....

If I remember correctly at the trade deadline we weren't even willing to give expiring contracts for Hinrich, insisting on moving Cardinal and/or Madsen instead, but now we're willing to give up Miller or the #6 pick? That doesn't make alot of sense. I thought the Bulls were desperate to dump his contract so they could sign Gordon and stay under the luxury tax.

The Wolves used to be my favorite team but they've fallen behind the Vikings and somewhat the Gophers and Twins. If this move is made, which would cause us to lose all cap flexibility, our first pick this year and probably our first next year (we wouldn't be bottom 10 but not good enough for playoffs), I might just give up on them.

I can't believe this is true. I'm guessing it's just Barrerio throwing some pretty wild speculation out there to drive hits to his website.

Well...Hinrich for #6 dosent work on trade checker, and the writer is not stating the the whole trade...why not? If it was even real, maybe Tyrus or Noah are also included? I think there is gonna be a lot of hype here till things get rolling.

I like how Barreiro gives it a "I don't know why the Bulls would do this."
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

Just for argument's sake (I agree that this isn't a great deal)... what at #6 has more value than Hinrich? Fills a big need, can defend three positions (not quicker 3s, though), solid floor leader.

Does Evans have more value? Curry? Derozan? Holiday? I'm only asking the question... again, agree that we'd likely need more than just player-for-pick swap, but is there something to be said for acquiring a proven commodity at a position of need, rather than a chance on another young piece in what is widely considered to be a weak draft?

Hinrich also carries a giant price tag that cuts majorly into our 2010 cap space.

I'd much rather have Evans, Harden, Holiday, and even DeRozan than Hinrich.

I don't see how the 6th pick could be an option and also Miller could. Would there be picks coming back from the Bulls for 6? I have seen plenty of people say this draft is weak, but is it really so weak that Miller has the same or near the value of the 6th pick?

I would prefer any player we pick #6 over Hinrich

Hate any deal that sends #6 out and brings in Hinrich :D
