PHI needs your help

I have to say that I always wanted randy foye to come to the sixers, and I was thinkin that now that eddie was hired as the sixers coach we need shooters to employ the princeton offence, and I think randy could be a great player in that sort of system.

What I am asking is if you see any possible trades that would interest you, revolving around PHI main trading "chips": Dally, Spieghts, Lou will, willie green and our first.

I have to add that I think AL-J would work great at PF with a shot blocker like dalembert on his side.

I haven't followed Speights enough, but if he can play C; I would probably do

Willie Green/Speights for Foye/Madsen

As a person that followed the sixers all year long and watch spieghts a lot, I have to say that spieghts is a very efficient center on offence and he is starting to show a defensive edge that will only improve over the years.
Plus he has a good shot, a quality that's hard to find in 7 foot beasts.

Then sign me up for Speights/Green for Foye/Madsen

Speights would be redundant with Love and Jeffeson.

Honestly, the only guy that makes sense is Dalembert, but his production vs. salary makes it tough to swallow. Your pick is at #17 which doesn't really hold much value since. Toronto fans have said they would do #9 plus POB and Ukic for Foye. It ends up being Foye for #9 since both of the other players are projects at best. #9 in a weak draft for Foye doesn't really add up.

The only trade that is really possible is Foye/Cardinal/Madsen for Dalembert and #17. Sixers get complete salary relief and a guy that would look great with andre miller and iggy next to him. They lose their center, but Brand is a strong defender when healthy and Speights is looking good.

I just don't think we make good trade partners.

I understand and appreciate where you're coming from, but I think that bringing dally or spieghts would help MIN a lot. Think about it Al-J and Love are both way closer to the PF position then center, with dally or spieghts you get a center who takes the load off of both of those players (a direct affect of that would be lesser injuries from BIG AL) and even if AL is injured you still have a center to hold your rotation.
I think PHI and MIN are great trade partners, Min gets a whole lot more balanced front court, and Phi gets the shooting point its lacking. and from what I understand Dally wants out of philly so it wouldn't be such a blow to lose him, I am sure the trade you offered would be gladly excepted by both Philly fans and the sixers front office.

I just want to add that spieghts is getting a huge amount of attention and is believed to become a great starting center. Him Al-J and Love would be a front court nightmare.

Both speights and foye are probably more valuable than the #9 let alone 18.

These teams simply dont have the parts to get anything done

Other than making a run for Thad, which Philly would not be wise to do, I do not see this either. Marreese Speights is more of a 4 then a 5 and he is very similar to Jefferson. He has talent, but on this team he would not make much sense. Kid has potential, but carries a 5.2/1.6 per36 pf/blk so the defensive potential is a tease similar to Al. The reason, perhaps, philly fans think he is more of a 5 is that @ the 5 he has Evans and iggy in the frontcourt which provides very good defensive help. (82games) Offensively he is similar from the 4-5, and defensively he does gain a little, but I think that is more due to who is playing with him.

Dally is a similar trade situation as Hinrich where they have value but nasty contract. But dally's production is worse than Hinrich and I believe a worse contract.

I will be an idiot. Lets say Philly really wanted Foye bad, and really wanted out of Dally's contract.

Thad+dally for Foye+card(exp)+Gomes/Smith (depending who philly wants)+ the 18th

Philly would get Foye, get out of Dally's contract, get a good player in cookie/Gomes+ value at the 18th.

MN takes on the nasty, nasty Dally contract but they get Thad. Both guys fit in rotaton. By moving Cardinal as the exp not Miller they can use Miller still as a scorer.

No, he is already signed to a hefty deal.

Seems I have heard A. Miller really wants to play for Heat, will do whatever is needed to make that happen.
I take Dally on if either a Young or Iggy come back.....Phi make a great trade partner.

Lots of people look at Dalembert, like the athleticism, and think he'd be a good fit. However, he has an incredibly low BBIQ and gets lost on the floor a lot. His salary is obviously too expensive. Al Jefferson took $11 mil his first year, and Dalembert has $12,125,694 and $13,012,823 his next two years, and eats up our valuable, tradable 2010 cap space.

Marreese Speights seems like the best way to go, but cap-matching is very tough with you guys. Min would try to avoid including 2010 guaranteed salary in the deal, but it seems almost impossible as a two team deal. Perhaps you should review your other deals, and figure out a way to make them a three-teamer with MIN inside?

I can't see Philly trading Speights for Foye

I like helping Philly usually (see Carney trade), but the pieces are difficult to line up here. Spreights would be the player with most value and would create the most interest, but the concern is fit. Most likely a deal would not be able to get done that would appease both sides.

How about Foye/6 for Young/J.Smith/future pick?

Then trade for his GT teammate, C.Smith/Telfair/Madsen for Crittenton/Thomas/Pecherov.

Crittenton/Lawson(18)/Brown
Miller/Brewer
Young/Gomes
Love/J.Smith/Cardinal
Jefferson/Thomas/Pecherov

I can't see it either, but if Philly called and proposed some sort of swap of those two I'd do it in a heartbeat. Speights on his rookie contract for multiple years >>>> Foye who needs an extension soon.
