I'd definitely consider it, depending on who's available at 13.

Its not an unfair trade, but big 3 is right .. it'd only happen if one of the guys MIN was targetting was still on board, and many other choices had been knocked off.

The Wolves front office said last month that they may only want to add two rookies out of the draft, so that's probably encouraging to you.

We would do it. It's either that or watch us sell the #28 outright.

Daye at #13?

really?

REALLY?

What has he done in the last month to jump from a maybe at #28 to us trading up to #13 to get him?

As the draft gets nearer it seems people start to fall in love with potential a little too much.

Holiday/Daye are two players getting way to much hype right now.

This coming from the guy obsessed with the prospect only connected with overfluffed athletic potential and no clear-cut nba skill.

False.

At least one has an NBA body. That at least gives Derozan a chance.

Has your boy Holiday shown he has any more NBA skills than Derozan?

yes. He is a natural floor general with great pg size. One of the better defensive guard prospects if not the best, very good BBIQ, good ballhandling, p-n-r player, etc, etc, etc There is a reason why he is jumping up the charts.

What does DeRozan do other than dunk and shoot a spot up jumper?

Derozan's midrange game is probably the best in the draft. He's is a great rebounder for a wing and was becoming an above average defender.

My main beef with Holiday is everyone is anointing him a "natural floor general" when really there is no history of him ever being one. This seems to be a way of complimenting him for having a limited effect on the game. In reality, he is good at everything, but excels at nothing. He does not have the dynamic scoring ability of Curry or Teague, the speed of Lawson, Collison, Mills or Flynn, or the leadership of those mentioned plus Maynor, and he does not have the play making ability of Rubio or Calathes.

He was considered a very good "natural" pg coming out of high school. That is hardly anything new. I agree that other than the defense he could very well project as a role player.

I don't know that we can necessarily say that Holiday does not have dynamic scoring ability etc. because he only had something like 8 possessions a game. He was in absolutely the worst case scenario imaginable for his skillset last year. Playing off the ball in a very slow offense where he hardly touched the ball and was limited to shooting some spot up jumpers etc. which has never really been his strength.

In limited touches Holiday showed good skills in many different areas, save 3 point shooting. Still, a better shooter then DeRozan was. Holiday has excellent physical tools as a point guard. He's very quick laterally, and has great size as well. He has lock down defensive potential in the NBA, and I agree after that the rest of his games are met with some question marks. What I think people should be impressed with though is his assist rate considering how very little he touched the ball. I do worry whether he can be a fulltime point guard because I really haven't seen too much of him in that role, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. He's still one of my favorite prospects in the entire draft.

Derozan has a nice pull up jumper which should be a weapon in the NBA. He also stepped at the end of the season, where Holiday never did. I do like Holiday though, he seems to have excellent court vision and great size for a PG.

I can pass on Daye, I only mentioned him because the other options on DX around that spot are tweeners or not needed. Henderson/Holiday would be a nice pair for our perimeter defense.

The current knock on Flying Boobies is he can't dribble.

I'm not a Daye fan. He does have great length and skill, but his incredibly frail frame paired with his relatively unimpressive athleticism scares me away. Potential guys like DeRozan and Holiday I like, though, because they have much better physical tools (I understand Daye has insane length, but that's his ONLY physical tool) and will most certainly bring more to the defensive side of the court at the very least.

No Daye please. Not at 18, and not at 28.
