Gone until the draft

**I have been in the loop on some inside stuff and I am struggling with keeping my mouth shut. So I am going to stay off the forum until draft time. Run to San Jose and read patristic exegesis.
before I go I will give you something else. Unlike years past we have a plan, but we also have contingency plans. To quote we have our main plan, then an "ideal" and an "acceptable" plan. So I would expect some movement. But we are not going to have a finished product at the end of the night. Most likely we will have a giant hole at the pg until the trade deadline.

If we're going to have a giant hole at PG, I assume that means we're trading Craig "Magic Cookie" Smith?

Rev....why do you tease us so???
Giant hole at PG...so that means no Evans, Curry, Holiday, Rubio, Jennings.
I would think that leaves us taking Harden ideally, if he drops, otherwise DeRozan...Thabeet?
Rev, have fun in San Jose and we'll see you draft night. Probably a good idea not to spill the beans so you can be trusted..I hope these Wolves "plans" are good ones and let's hope we can execute.

Damn you Rev. just when we were about to open pandora's box.
Word has it Thabeet is the apple of the FO's eye. Makes me want to inflict pain on puppies.

Sorry for asking so many questions in the other thread. Thanks for giving us some info. The draft should be interesting to say the least. Have a good time in San Jose.

hahahaha!! It could be worse though, really. The man can play defense and is super athletic. Just bulk him up! A lot. Maybe even illegally if need be. So long as he doesn't look like manute bol anymore.

Got it ...
Love/#6 for Gay/#2
#1 ... Griffin
#2 ... MN selects Thabeet
#3 ... Harden to OKC
#4 ... Rubio to SAC
#5 ... Curry to Washington
#6 ... DeRozan to Memphis
Wolves swing a trade sending Foye/#18/#28 for rights to Evans.
Wolves: Telfair/Evans/Gay/Jefferson/Thabeet
Memphis: Conley/Mayo/DeRozan/Love/Gasol

I think those line ups say alot about that trade and about drafting Thabeet with the 2nd pick.

As much as i like Love, adding thabeet with jefferson could be scary in the future. Hopefully we keep the #6 and package the Utah pick or #18 instead so we could have 2 top ten picks!
Just think of the draft goin this way:
1.LA-Griffin
2.Min-Thabeet
3.OKC-Rubio
4.Sac-Evans
5.Wash-Harden
6.Min-????
What if...
PG-Telfair(till the deadline)/Foye
SG-Derozan/Foye
SF-Gomes/Brewer
PF-Al/Smith
C-Thabeet/Williams
Id say thats a great young nucleus with still a gaping hole at point. Maybe we get lawson,Maynor, or another point at 18, there is still free agency this year/next year, the trade deadline, and the draft next year.
Lets just say im very excited as long as we keep either love or #6 but either way im excited for our bright young future.

There's a 96% chance we will look like total fools (now and 5 years from now) if we trade Love for Thabeet.

It wouldn't feel like Wolves draft night if they didn't.

...I'm reaching a breaking point. I can't go through this every year...I don't know how much more I can take. I starting really following the Wolves during the '04 playoffs, so I saw about a month of good basketball and then 5 years of trash. Considering I'm 20 years old, that's a quarter of my life following a bottom feeder of a team. If draft night is as bad as I think it might be, I might just toss in the towel and use my time on things that aren't so hopeless. If we trade Love AND the 6th...and especially if we include the 18th, if we don't also get someone like Rudy Gay I'm giving up and I won't be posting here anymore. I'll throw out my TWolves gear and stop watching the games and refuse to support the team in any way until Kahn is fired. However, if we do get someone like Gay, then I'll merely be super pissed (as I am every year on draft night) and begrudgingly try to talk myself into it saying it will be OK (as I also do every year).
My hopes are that we either trade up for Rubio as the centerpiece (and trade Love OR the 6th pick). OR if we do trade up for Thabeet we also use Love OR the 6th pick and then trade 18 up to get Gerald Henderson to really try to start forming an identity as a defensive team.

I dont want it to seem like im calling out Rev, but does anyone know if he has legit ties or if there is even any legs to any of this?
You have been watching since 04? Good lord, try since 96. I cant imagine how difficult it was to watch when the team was in its expansion years. This team has seemingly shot itself in the foot year after year.
Sure ill b!tch, just like i did on draft night 07, and draft night 08 where i "threatened" to give up. It passes after about a week and im back to making the best out of a bad situation. I just cant imagine myself not rooting for this team.

oh I talk a big game, but I'm really just a pussycat...though I'm currently in a bad enough mood to throw just about anything away...I'm sure I'll take the psychological abuse and just file it away like I do every year.
At least you saw nearly a decade of playoff appearances...I've seen a month.

I guess watching this team get thrashed in the 1st round of the playoffs in all but one or two years was a blessing.

With this team?...yeah, it kind of is. Not that it should be.
In other news, I just started a new prestige mode in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and I hate not having the perks I want...and my playing performance is suffering...which is what put me in a bad mood to begin with. Then I heard about the whole Love/Thabeet thing and was just about ready to go ballistic. I'm going to go play a little more to try to press through until I can get my perks back...maybe then I can feel a little more positive about Hasheem Thabeet...

Who knows how legit any rumor is. I'm not calling out rev or anything, but there's probably a lot being discussed and a deal that seems very legitimate could fall apart anytime from now to draft day. What I think is encouraging is they actually could have contingency plans.
I moved to MN in 1991 and started following the Wolves since then. So I've seen a lot of the bad and believe it or not, it was much worse before our 1 and done playoff runs.
