So how will they decide who gets the bigger contract?

With players having egos, how will they choose which player gets the bigger deal? Flip a coin? See which player's family really needs the money more?

Technically, I think we can pay them the same. I thought the rookie scale still left room for some negotiation and just set a max? I'm pretty sure the agent for the #5 pick wouldn't go for it though.

And who are you talking about? Fifth and Sixth picks? Obviously the 5th pick gets more money.

He means if the Wolves keep both picks how do they determine who to take 5th and who to take 6th..

A smart team would take the better, player 6th and the lesser player at 5. Just because they could get a way with paying the better player a little less.

That makes no sense. Either way you slice it you will in the end be paying the same. It is like saying I will pay you wd707 $5 and pay Shrink $4 instead of me paying Shrink $5 and you $4, either way it comes out to being $9 I paid.

I think the best possible way to do it is draft the player that was overall ranked higher. So for instance if Rubio did fall to #5 you pick him first because on every board out there he was ranked higher then who we will get at #6. Same goes if we picked up Curry, Flynn, Holiday, or Jennings. You pick them #6 because they were on boards as being lower then Rubio, Evans, or Harden.

we could make 2 really stupid picks so both players will be happy to go so high and not care who got picked first

5. Hansbrough 6. Taj Gibson

If Rubio falls and they want him, I think he should be the 5th pick because he has to pay Spain 3mil for his buy out.

If we draft Rubio with our picks, then he obviously goes 5th.

Other than that, barbed wire cage match.
