I am a bit confused at the Rubio and Flynn selection. Wouldn't Curry have been a better selection with Rubio?

Of course, there is now way Flynn and Rubio can play together, it just doesn't make sense. Must be a trade in the works.

Rubio may stay in Europe. Flynn will contribute right away.

I agree Rubio and Flynn don't fit; but don't bring up Curry, he would have been a far worse pick

I'm starting to think we should've taken Curry not Flynn. That way we could've forced NY's hand to get value and a future starting SG(DeMar).

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-41-152/Minnesota-s-Unrequited-Love-for-Ricky-Rubio.htmlHe also said he was very surprised that the team had drafted another point guard in Jonny Flynn. He evaded a question about whether or not he'd even come to the NBA -- until the very end of the meeting with reporters when he threw in a line saying "I want to play basketball, and if they give me minutes, I'm going to come."
Sounds like Rubio is pissed about the Flynn pick more than he dislikes the actual location. I hope Kahn irons it out with Rubio tomorrow

If the Wolves were to move for a SG while keeping Rubio and Flynn, what is wrong with that?
Rubio can play about 28-30 minutes at the point, Flynn could play the remainder + a few minutes WITH Rubio on the floor.
Flynn seems primed to be the first guard off the bench, especially since Rubio is a taller guy he can play with....
Flynn doesn't have to be moved until you find a good trade partner, unless you are competing for a title this season.

I think the problem would be that Kahn has been talking up Telfair as a big minute backup all summer. So, if we keep Rubio and Flynn, where would he fit in?

Trying to figure out where Tellfair fits in is not a problem. He's probably the best 3rd point guard in the league.

C - Jefferson/Thomas/Opec
PF - Love/Smith/Songalia
SF - Gomes/Cardinal
SG - Brewer/Ellington
PG - Rubio/Flynn/Telfair
Cardinal, Madsen, Smith, and Thomas can be used for a scorer on the wing. How about Tracy McGrady if he's coming back healthy?

But seriously, this sets us up perfect to win the lottery next year and draft John Wall... Oh wait... Ok Evan Turner. And the Charlotte and Utah picks can be used on the many big men available next year.
Turner/Rubio/Flynn is kind of a sexy backcourt rotation. I like it.
