------------------------------------

Next year is time to pick the best available C (real C)...in best case scenario with picks 6-8 (MIN) and 13-15(CHA) Minnesota again has a chance to move up maybe in top 5 and also if Rubio really would not not want to come here you can draft his rights next year for a top 3 pick. With picking the best C and sg/sf the fist team would be near completion.

FLYNN/
TOP 5 pick SG or RUBIO/ELLINGTON
BREWER/
JEFERSON/LOVE
TOP 5pick CENTER/LOVE

The future is bright!

^^ me too exactly except for Bradley more than Ebanks at the moment. Aldrich moreso by default, I don't see any other centers that have paint controlling potential.

I guess I can't help but keep an eye on Lance Stephenson too, but I can't imagine him ever on the Wolves; that'd be a long shot to the say the least

How about Alabi with the bobcats pick (if we get it)? From the scouting reports i read he's a shotblocker...good for our 20~30 minute 3rd big with Kevin/Al.

I'd be interessted in Cole Aldrich if we think he can be our starting C. Motiejunas is great, too, but more a PF in the nba.

I think Aldridge will be the best C prospect in the draft, I think he will be a top 3 pick!

Some think a couple of those pf could be sf.

Turner and Aldrich would be my best scenario right now. Turner as the 3, Aldrich as the 5. wow.

In your opinion would Aldrich be much of an upgrade over Pekovic? Aldrich does have those long ass arms, but he's not really the weak side help defender we need, or is he?

I think they complement each other. Pekovic is a starter/borderline star post player. He is tough as nails and is an above avg rebounder. Aldrich is a dominate blue collar type. Aldrich is similar to Love but with defense. (maybe more PRyz style) I think Aldrich has the potential to be a defensive pain in the ass for the other team.

Ironic if we got both guys it would be like a mini Al-love off the bench. :D Pekovic is going to want to start, so I am not sure how it would work.

Alabi might be a good fit in the mid-first. Someone to play 20 minutes a game in a shot blocker role. THen we could use our higher first rounder on Turner/Bradley/Warren

at first glance this draft looks really nice. aldrich and turner would have been good options this year. James Johnson and Xavier Henry are wings that could really skyrocket up the board. if flynn plays out of his mind, we could surely get a top three pick out of Rubio if he doesn't make it over.

i also think Alibi will be better than Thabeet.

At this point, my draft board would be:

1. John Wall - Another Point, but he is head and shoulders above everyone else in this draft right now.

2. Derrick Favors - More of a Power Forward now, but because of his length and athleticism, I can definitely see him developing into a Center in a poor-man's Dwight Howard kind of way.

3. Greg Monroe - Compares most readily to Pau Gasol, a guy who was good enough to be the primary (but not starting) Center on the championship Lakers.

3. Cole Aldrich - Seems to be a better shot-blocking Joel Przybilla. Probably doesn't have the raw talent and upside that the other guys do, which is why he's fourth.

idk, Evan Turner was high on my board this last year and if he improves he would be a great 2/3 to add to our team. Or AFA.

Aminu vs. Turner as a 3 on this team is an interesting question. Seems to me Turner would need the ball in his hands a lot more. If a Flynn/Rubio backcourt does end up happening, I think a 3 who doesn't need the ball as much as Turner might be a better fit. Someone who can run/finish, defend, and make open threes.

if the wolves keep Rubio and Flynn, Turner would be to much as he is a playmaker who needs the ball to be effective. Ideally, at the three, the wolves need an athletic shooter who can finish and play really good help defense. unfortunately, no one fits that bill in this draft, or at least not as far as i can tell.

I have a feeling that we package assets such as expirings and picks to make a move for a swingman. With the playmaking guards we need a scoring 3 with size. I really want Marvin in a s/t. He is 23, great size, athletic, has the 3pt jumper we need. A 35 ft/fg 50.2 EFG (56.9 TS). It seems like the thing we lack and with our expirings and future picks we should be able to make an offer.
