Do you really think that Curry at #6 would've worked out?

Remember that's the same guy who refused to work out here, cause he wanted to go to the Knicks.

"Stephen Curry took yet another determined step toward being a Knick on Friday when he decided to cancel the rest of his predraft workout schedule -- after he has a previously scheduled workout with the Washington Wizards.

The Wizards hold the fifth overall pick.

The Davidson star did, however, cancel a workout with the Minnesota Timberwolves (sixth overall) next week."

...

Though a player cannot force teams to not select him, the decision to cancel with the T-Wolves -- a team that picks ahead of the Knicks -- sends a clear message that Curry would prefer they pass on him.

So drafting him instead of Flynn seems like a good idea to you? Potentially having two first round picks skip press conference and being marked as NY-bound by the media and other fans? Imagine the pressure and the lack of leverage with that scenario. What do you do when your top two picks are not happy and trying to force a trade? You're basically screwed, cause other teams know that you can't keep both of them and will lowball you with trade offers that you can't refuse. That would be a disaster. Kahn was too smart for that. He took a stand-up guy in Flynn, who will do anything it takes to win and is mature enough to understand that it isn't about him. Who will gladly take a backseat to Rubio and come off the bench if it's what team needs from him. Curry maybe a better fit basketball-wise, but I can't imagine him being as gracious and ready to sacrifice as Flynn. He was an Iverson-like star in college, being a second thought to another rookie would not have sit well with Curry. Face it, that was the right (and maybe the only) decision to take.

Do you really think we need to make multiple threads that basically say the same thing.

Do you really think you're a mod?
If you don't have anything substantial to add, then move on.

I think it could have worked out in a trade down.

Curry to nyk for clark and a mobley for thomas swap
mobley for ridnour + change (18 for 10 swap)

#5 rubio
#8 clark
#10 Williams

Look at my awesome draft. This is one of the many trade downs I think could have happened. NYK part is very resonable. The MIL part is concievable as they could use some savings and the draft is so pg deep.

Mil saves 7m with mobley contract. still gets one of flynn holiday, or jennings @18.

Again if the FO doesn't like Clark or think he can become a great player I can see why they take him, but lets be real?

God what a lineup

Curry would have been a really bad fit here since IMO he isn't that good and his a 1 dimensional player (we got Ellington at #28 that fills the same role)

I wouldn't have minded trading #6 for #8, Chandler; but that's about it.

I would have liked the #5, #8, #10
and I would have drafted
#5 Rubio, #8 DeRozan, #10 Henderson, would've drafted Mills as well;
Rubio/Henderson/DeRozan/Love/Jefferson with a bench of Mills/Brewer/Gomes/Smith/Thomas

I liked Curry pre-draft as a possible ball dominate p-n-r scoring point guard. Maybe with a Harden on the wing. But when you add Rubio you need to put him next to an athlete that can play defense and get to the line. That is not curry. Curry needs the ball to be effective.

regardless of the "fit" we went BPA and took Flynn over Curry and DeRozan. Regardless of if we agree with the arguments "why" we can appreciate the talent of Flynn. If we keep both players I expect them to be a very good backcourt in 2-4 years.
