Do you really think that Curry at #6 would've worked out?

Remember that's the same guy who refused to work out here, cause he wanted to go to the Knicks.
So drafting him instead of Flynn seems like a good idea to you? Potentially having two first round picks skip press conference and being marked as NY-bound by the media and other fans? Imagine the pressure and the lack of leverage with that scenario. What do you do when your top two picks are not happy and trying to force a trade? You're basically screwed, cause other teams know that you can't keep both of them and will lowball you with trade offers that you can't refuse. That would be a disaster. Kahn was too smart for that. He took a stand-up guy in Flynn, who will do anything it takes to win and is mature enough to understand that it isn't about him. Who will gladly take a backseat to Rubio and come off the bench if it's what team needs from him. Curry maybe a better fit basketball-wise, but I can't imagine him being as gracious and ready to sacrifice as Flynn. He was an Iverson-like star in college, being a second thought to another rookie would not have sit well with Curry. Face it, that was the right (and maybe the only) decision to take.
"Stephen Curry took yet another determined step toward being a Knick on Friday when he decided to cancel the rest of his predraft workout schedule -- after he has a previously scheduled workout with the Washington Wizards.
The Wizards hold the fifth overall pick.
The Davidson star did, however, cancel a workout with the Minnesota Timberwolves (sixth overall) next week."
...
Though a player cannot force teams to not select him, the decision to cancel with the T-Wolves -- a team that picks ahead of the Knicks -- sends a clear message that Curry would prefer they pass on him.
