The "spanish" translation sound dodgy. It is probably a fake.

If that's real, the fact that it says "Affiliation: Minnesota Timberwolves" is an awesome sign.

It's fake and he is in Spain right now, he was interviewed when he arrived in the airport early today.
In the short interview he talked about the rumors about big euro teams interested on him, and he said no way, he is so proud of being wanted by those teams, but he wants to go to the NBA, so it's either NBA or back to his current team for a year to renegotiate his buyout.
He said NBA, but never named any team in the interview.
On unrelated news, he has been called up today (as expected) to play in the European championship in September with the Spanish national team. It will be another chance to show what he can do, specially as Calderon has rejected to play to better heal his injury.

I would not be so sure it is fake...it is setup as a fan page...you can only be a fan...not a friend....Facebook is pretty strict about imposters and it would be down in a second if it was found out to be fake.

Facebook deleted Lindsey Lohan's fake page. As in they knew it was Lohan's page, but it was registered under a different name, and they deleted it for bieng fake.
But it's a fan page, and you can be a fan of ANYTHING. I'd feel more comfortable with the page if it was a regular member page.

It is listed on facebook as the "official Ricky Rubio facebook page". I have a friend who is a semi celebrity figure and he has a personal page and a fan page and he is in control of both of them.

I can write "The Official Wayne Brady Page" on mine, but doesn't make it true.

I don't think a second goes by the Wayne Brady doesn't say something, unless singing doesn't count.

Well, I speak fluent spanish and I just posted a message on there that was so welcoming that there is no way he won't be happy to be a Pup. I'm sure he reads every single message, so he probably already read my message. It should just be a matter of time before we hear him declaring that he is incredibly excited to come to MN. That was easy enough.

It's completely fake. Th english translations have the exactly same inaccuracies you get when you run his quotes through the google translater.

I hear Rubio doesn't really speak English, he just runs everything he says through Google translator on his iPhone before he talks.

He very well might speak Catalan as well, but he definitely speaks Spanish in all the interviews I've seen.

Yeah if you go to his website
www.rickyrubio9.com, you can't find anything about a facebook page but they have little promotions for his twitter account all over the place. The spanish used on the twitter account is much more intense than the facebook. Not like this comes as news to anyone but just thought I'd add it.
