He's a steal of a pick if either of those come true.

Yeah, Raja Bell is an terrific worst case scenario. I'd say his WORST case scenario is Allan Ray.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

I do have a good feeling about him as a rotation player though, decent pick for #28

I agree with the best case he kinda fits that mold.
4 reasons I don't agree with the worst case
1. he wasn't that good.
You see so many guys get drafted in the first round you don't know if once they got there money they stoped working to get better.
Or some guys say they don't like the fact that the game you been playing your whole life for fun becomes a job and they lose there passion for the game.
And the last one is some these guys coming into the NBA don't really know how hard it is fail and how the hard the game can be.

Is Ellington a defender like that? I thought he needed work on that side of the ball?

Wayne has avg, if not below avg defensive ability. He shoots, he is smart and he hustles. Lets just call him Freddy 2.0

Re: meet Wayne Ellington
I'm loving this pick more the more I've read about him, his true shooting percentage numbers are extremely impressive. Offensively he looks like a great fit with either Rubio or Flynn in the backcourt next to him. If he can even be an average defender at the 2, that's incredible value for the 28th pick in a weak draft.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I'm not a huge Ellington fan, but we desperately need shooters, and that's something he can do.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

I think Raja Bell as a worst case scenario is pretty accurate. He is good and will likely start at SG next year if we don't keep rubio. If we keep him, Ellington Flynn Rubio is an amazing 3 man rotation. He can shoot and would have put up Curry type points if he were on a different team, but NC has so much talent. He is a very smart player and was by far the best player at #28. I could have seen him going top 15. If he can work on his D a bit he will be very very good

Re: meet Wayne Ellington
best case Hamilton??? lol Rip was a stud in college. Then Wally over Rip, ahh Mac good times. The Wolves scouts seem to like the tourney performers.
Dammit, is it the red pill or blue one? I always get them mixed up.

Wayne is a career back-up, but those have value when they are smart shooters. Like I said. Freddy 2.0

He will definitely space the floor and he will actually shoot when open for three. That will be worth the price of admission in and of itself.
