Why for MIN: They get rid of the RRM, and get two young pieces. Anthony Randolph is a SF with loads of potential. They swap Craig Smith for a post player that plays pretty good defense.

Why for GS: They get Ricky Rubio. Enough said. Also, maybe it gives them the freedom to trade Curry in a trade with Phoenix for Amare. Can you imagine Rubio throwing lobs to Amare? Smith is a bruiser that would work well in their system.

It also makes Rubio happy because he moves from the number 14 media market to the number 4.

I am all for trading Rubio and I like Anthony Randolph but I think we need some guards in a deal and The Warriors would have to many guards.

Unrelated but undeniably intriguing Warriors tidbit: Slender rookie Anthony Randolph, also known as the closest thing to an untouchable on the Warriors' payroll, has gained 20 pounds and grown an inch to nearly 7 feet since the end of this past season.

Golden State is very high on randolph, as am I, and according to this he is now a 6'11" 230 pound small forward. So, while i would do this, i doubt Golden State does, now with Monta, Curry also at the guard spots

Seems like good value for Red Ships of Spain. I'd do the deal from a Wolves perspective. However, I would guess Rubio's stock has dropped significantly since draft night...especially if his intent is to stay overseas for two more years. If I was Golden State - or any other team acquiring Rubio - I would need assurances that Rubio would be suiting up this season. As far as he's concerned, he'll be making the same amount of money regardless of which NBA team he plays for, and I don't think he'd make significantly more lewt being the Sealy mattress spokesman in CA vs. the Sealy mattress spokesman in MN.

The Wolves would obtain a guard in a subsequent Kevin Love trade.

I'd do this in an instant, so I'd imagine GS would not. Randolph is one of the few sf compliments to al/love front court that would be magical

Why would there be a subsequent Love trade? Bringing in a tall SF helps Love as a pf. I think they work good together.

I would sign off on this. I think this deal is simple and has good value. The issue of course is if GSW see Curry as their pg, or if they see him as a Barbosa type as it was reported at draft time.

I don't know if we're getting Randolph without Jefferson being included in the trade. Granted, I am very high on Randolph, but their unwillingness to include him in a trade for Amare might suggest even Big Al wouldn't get it done. I do wonder with the added 20 lbs if he projects long term as a PF though. As I think this is most likely the case, I'd probably trade either Rubio or Love for him. He has that much potential. I think if you did last years draft over again he might go #2.

The worst part is there are no players in next years draft that are in this mold, nor are there any FA's next year who fit the role, maybe aminu. If only Daye or Clark would have slipped a bit

Not the 7ft freak of nature, but a 6'7 Turner will be a nice SF.

Like I said, getting Rubio would allow them to make that trade with Phoenix for Amare. They could choose either Curry or Rubio to trade, depending on who they like more.

We already have our backcourt for the next 10 years in Montay and Steph Curry.. Sprinkle in Morrow, Magette, Azibuke, Bellinilie > we're good in that dept............

Why would we move Jefferson? He is a 5, Love is a 4, AR4 is a 3. ranlamjon is a twosie.

hmmm, I'm actually not a big Randolph fan. Plus he probably does project to be a PF like Dr.K mentioned.

If GS was/is refusing to include him in a deal for Amare I think they are making a mistake.
We made a significant investment to get Rubio, I would hope that he gets a chance to be our PG of the future. I'm just not the biggest fan of Flynn's game. Personality wise he's way cool but a future all star he is not. Unless Ricky wants out, I would hope we trade Flynn before Ricky (if/when we trade one of those two.)

MIN Incoming Players : Stephen Curry, Acie Law, and Brandan Wright

Why for MIN, Curry is a combo guard who is a good shooter now and when he gets older and stronger will be a lot better. Law is a solid point guard who needs more playing time. Wright is that athletic big man lacking with Jefferson and Love. Jefferson and Love are both brusiers. Wright will beat every big man down the court on this team.

Why for GSW, Ellis is not a true point guard, the GSWs do not have a adequate point guard either. Rubio is perfect for Nellie's offensive system. Ellis success came from playing off the ball with Baron creating shots and taken the burden of the decision making and ball handling. Now he must decide when to shoot, pass, take ove a game, get everyone else involved, and everyting else involved in being the lead guard. With Rubio, at least the ball handling and passing will be taken out of his hands. Ellis can concetrate on scoring and creating. Madsen a ending contract. Smith is a good rebounder which the GSWs need at a cheap price.

Law and Wright haven't shown anything, even considering short minutes. Madsen is just an expiring. Smith is productive as a bench forward. Rubio is a better prospect than Curry. This is not equal on that basis.

Not to mention that if we pulled this, we would trade one PG from our glut and best case bring back another PG and an undersized shooting guard(according to Curry, he's a PG). Not that interested in this trade. As has been mentioned, I'd be somewhat interested in Randolph, but since he's apparently a lock for the HOF, I guess there won't be a trade.

No to the original deal, but how about this one

Min Gets:Curry, Azubuike
GS Gets:Flynn, Smith

Min gets a PG-SG prospect, and a good wing player. GS gets a pure point and a bruiser.

If Wolves wanted Curry over Flynn, they would have drafted him.
