Summer League Games Televised ?

Post#1 » by rodroddy34 » Wed Jul 8, 2009 6:05 pm

Last season the Summer League games were televised on NBA TV but I can't find anywhere that mentions that they will be on this season. Anyone have any info ?

I watched a load of summer league games on NBA.com. They stream them for free. They have used these magic radio show host as commentators the last couple of years and they have been hilarious. They take all kinds of crazy e-mails and get off topic all the time. I hope they are back.

ya i just watched on NBA.com, but if i remember correctly there was a wolves one that they played on FSN North, but it was only because it was on NBA TV, so they let the locals see it on TV.

According to the link you posted, we have Gerald Henderson from Duke on our roster. Yeah! Nice undrafted grab.

Yea Henderson is playing for our SL team: viewtopic.php?f=53&t=924140

I too hope NBATV shows the games but I haven't seen anything on my satellite guide for it though.

Like at the end of the season before last, FSN announced a new deal with the wolves where they would be showing a lot more games. Some of that started last year but I think think it really kicks in this year. They said that either summer league, pre-season, or perhaps some combination of both would get a few games shown on FSN so I'd keep an eye out.

Henderson is only playing for the Wolves because CHARLOTTE doesn't have a summer league team -- this doesn't make much sense to me.

I checked the FSN North schedule and don't see any games listed.

I don't buy it. Unless they are providing professional replay and high quality camera work, people aint paying crap to watch it. They better not charge for tihs crap. Half the time the camera is stuck in one position and you can't even see who the hell is playing. On top of that they don't even have commentators for half the games.

That's the Orlando SL you're talking about isn't it? Vegas usually has announcers and much better camera work than Orlando. I don't see why they would charge for it all of a sudden though.

I don't think we should pay for it, but I probably will anyways.

Wow....This is pretty much bogus. Is it possible that there would be pie? I REALLY don't want to dole out money for this but at the same time I really want to see how Brewer is progressing along with some Flynn beastliness...Bahh!!

Bobcats don't have a Summer league team, that's why Henderson is on our squad.

I wish Henderson was an undrafted grab! Unfortunately he will only be eating into Ellington's minutes. Bummer...

Is there anyone who has a realistic shot of making our roster except for the obvious players we have already under contract?

I think any of the SG's have a chance. We also have 2 decent big guy's who could surprise.
