“I think this year, it will be really hard to make the NBA, especially without a guaranteed contract,” said Woodside, who has been invited to the Minnesota Timberwolves training camp. “Plus, there are a lot of free agents this year who are point guards.”

Sweet, good to hear he was at least given an invite.

Good for Woodside and wasted spot for Wolves. Woodside struggled in Summer League.

Skeeta dominated the summer league... look where that got him. Woodside can score from outside, not something a lot of the current wolves can say. Who would you rather bring to camp?

Paul Harris personally

My only problem with Harris is he is better suited at SF with his rebounding ability and terrible shooting. reports say he's been doing better but he did shoot 22% from range last year and wasn't too sharp of a scorer in the summer league. But yes, he'd give us as close to a lockdown defender as we've had since Hassel was still good.

You can tell by his quote that he has been well informed on the current NBA climate of cheap owners (Taylor included). The majority of the teams will carry 13-14 guys this year, giving guys like Woodside a very poor chance of making a roster. At least Brad Ames is informing his clients and they are keeping expectations realistic. I could see Woodside maybe being a poor man's JJ Barea, but he will probably have to take the D-League route.

First that backstabbing bastard takes a piss on Minnesota and goes to North Dakota, then he takes a giant dump on the whole country and goes to France? Someone cut his brake lines.

It would have helped if Minnesota had actually offered him. Gravelines is a good situation for him though. Paul Harris has a standing training camp invite. He was just offered to the Perth Wildcats, but they turned him down for Matt Freije.

From what I understand, Jared Reiner also has a camp invite.

In case it wasn't obvious, I was joking.

You mean his brake lines shouldn't have been cut? Hold on, I've got to make a phone call.
