(delayed due to 60 day restrictions)

MIN Trades:
Quentin Richardson 8.7M, 1 yr
Ryan Gomes 3.8M, 4 yrs
Darius Songaila 4.5M, 2 yrs
Chucky Atkins 3.4M, 1 yr

MIN Receives:
Tracy McGrady 22.8M, 1 yr
Min 1st Returned

LAC Trades:
Chris Kaman 10.4M, 3 yrs
Min 1st

LAC Receives:
Ryan Gomes 3.8M, 4 yrs
Darius Songaila 4.5M, 2 yrs
Chucky Atkins 3.4M, 1 yr (waived)

HOU Trades:
Tracy McGrady 22.8M, 1 yr

HOU Receives:
Chris Kaman 10.4M, 3 yrs
Quentin Richardson 8.7M, 1 yr

Why for Min?
Gets rid of Songaila's contract, gets our pick back from the Clippers, which will be unprotected in 2012. Receives an unproductive expiring for some productive expirings + Gomes (who it sucks to lose), but we have more time to develop our young players, even if we lose some more games.

Why for LAC?
LAC is overstocked at C and wants to get rid of Kaman. In return for Kaman and our 1st, they get Gomes, Atkins (waivable), and Songaila's 2-year contract.

Why for HOU?
In return for McGrady (basically just an expiring for them at this point), they get a productive vet SG who is also expiring, and a C to to play some of Yao's minutes.

Clippers say you are out of your mind VelvetPancakes. The pick stays and so does Kaman.

How are you so sure? Freeing up cap space is consistent with their rebuilding efforts. They already have Camby and Jordan and aren't too big of fans of his contract.

They already have expiring contracts like Butler, Camby, Smith, R Davis and Madsen so they don't need to make an idiotic trade for cap space.

So we send them Ellington too as incentive?

LAC turned down a Mike Miller - Chris Kaman trade. Plus, Minnesota makes out like bandits (getting rid of Songolia and bringing in our first round pick).

Too good for us. Too bad, because T-mac's corpse could have been our new bench cheerleader.
