OT: Jerseys

Post#1 » by Klomp » Fri Aug 14, 2009 11:28 pm

I've been thinking a lot lately about buying a jersey. I mentioned it to my parents, and they said the whole buying jerseys is more of an old fad, and not as big of a deal any more. Is this true?

I mean, for 32 bucks for a replica jersey, I'm thinking fad or not, thats a pretty good deal. Now the only question is:

Al or Kevin?

While more realistic, theyre also double the price. But yeah if I buy one I'm leaning toward Al

Like I told you, it is dangerous because we could be trading the guy.

I'm saying I really don't see us trading him. Everything our front office has done and said leads me to believe Al is here for the long run.

I still wear my teal Leattner jersey every now and then, same with my #1 Anthony Peeler. I don't see them as too bad of a purchase due to the cost. I could roll down to the gap and spend $70 on a tshirt that has holes in it before i've even worn it because its stylish this season.

So, who do you think is more likely to stay long-term: Jefferson or Love?

Thats the tough question. I want to believe its both, but I think it might be Love if I had to pick one. Still though, I'm leaning toward an Al jersey if I had to choose.

I made a bold prediction before the draft that Love and Gomes would be the only 2 players on the team now that would still be on the team the next time we make the playoffs. After the Foye/Miller trade and the draft I altered it to include Flynn (i thought for sure we were going to end up with Evans and he would demand a trade or suck horribly and play his way out of town)

I don't think Kahn would hesitate to trade Jefferson if a good enough deal came along.

I wish I would have seen a Hassel jersey in order to buy one. if I had seen one, I would have bought it.

@ Klomp: I'd simply buy the player's jersey I'd prefer without taking care if he's a Wolf in the long run. I don't give a damn about my jersey being outdated. I still rock my KG jerseys.

KG is the wolves all-time greatest. Instant Hardwood classic, lol.

Klomp go with a lesser player, it is much more fun. Even after they've been traded. In fact the fewer games they actually played for the team generally the cooler.

On a different note, I got a Wolves Marbury Jersey for free after he got traded. Never wore it. Thinking that if I ever did I'd do the write over thing and change it to "[Lost] Marb[les]"
