What if: Khan had no backbone

What if Khan said yes to every trade proposal offered so far

Memphis wanted the #5 & #6 for the #2

Dallas wanted to trade Devin Harris, Yi Jianlian and the No. 11 (where shooting guards Henderson and Williams were available) for Al Jefferson

2009-10 roster

Harris Rubio Atkins Brown
Wilkins Williams Ellington
Gomes Brewer Cardinal
Love Jianlian Songaila
Pecherov Hollins

Then if we accepted the NYK or Houston proposals for Rubio (Hill and Chandler or Brooks and Battier (not sure which expiring we would throw to finish the proposed deals though).

Harris Brooks Atkins Brown
Wilkins Williams Ellington
Battier Gomes Brewer Cardinal
Love Jianlian Songaila
Pecherov Hollins

or

Harris Atkins Brown
Wilkins Williams Ellington
Chandler Gomes Brewer Cardinal
Love Jianlian Songaila
Hill Pecherov Hollins

This is such a ridiculous/stupid thread. What's the point ? None of them happened and if any of the deals did happen there's no way to say that the other trade proposals would have popped up.

Not sure if i understand. You are saying you would have done those trades? I know i would not do any of them except for that with Nets but i don't think there is any truth to it. Nets would not send all that to get worse and get a worse payroll.

I was reading on the NYK forum (don't post on their forum if you want to live) and wanted to post this. Ask them if we should pull the trigger even after all those moves and they will say yes. Ya, it's a dumb thread, but if you think it's bad, just let it die duh

noooo, I hate them all. I believe there's truth to it, that's one of the best front courts in the NBA right there.

I think Kahn would have to have a serous backbone and balls of steel to sign off on some of those trades.

Nets offer was real

Memphis offer was one of the many handful as Kahn dealt with a prick.

You forgot the OKC offers

Not trying to be a ****, but man do I feel bad for Memphis fans. LA has the rights to their pick (top 6 protected) and they pull the trigger on a Zach Randolph trade. I mean do they expect Z-Bo to win just enough to make them lose their pick? I have to admit, before the draft I actually thought the Grizzlies had a ton of potential, but now it's like watching a train crash in slow motion.

I heard of OKC trading Rubio down, but what was offered? I'm going to take a shot in the dark and assume it's Kevin Love they wanted.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in Fridley,
we shall post on the seas and oceans,
we shall post with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our team, whatever the cost may be,
we shall post on the beaches,
we shall post on the landing grounds,
we shall post in the fields and in the streets,
we shall post in the hills;
we shall never surrender

if Kahn had no backbone he'd be dead, duh!

on a serious note: if all trades would have happened we'd lack a #1 option on offense. yes Big Al isn't really a #1 option either (rather #1b or a very very good #2 option) but Harris is a slightly less offensive option than Al IMO.

I guess both rosters you named would have either problems scoring 90 points (#1) or conceiving less than 100 points while being also undersized (#2)

Taylor does not fire GM's.

Jefferson can be a #1 on offense, but he is not your leader. I think in the modern NBA you need a wing/guard as a #1 also.
