Jeffersons prediction on his stats this season

Jefferson's prediction for himself : 28 Points, 13 Rebounds, 3 Blocks and 3 Assists.
Don't think he gets that many touches, especially with the wolves running.
As teams double and triple Jefferson, others will get shots.
The 3 blocks a game would almost double his career high of 1.7 last season. Probably high, but its a nice goal.
The assists looks possible if he passes out directly to shooters rather than to the player who makes the assist, which happen often last season.
Even his prediction for rebounds might be high since Love will also be there cleaning up the boards.
The only way Jefferson scores 28 pts per game is if he runs on the break often. He has to be in great shape, better than earlier in his career to run on the break. [He lost 33 pds so maybe he does run.]
I'd be very happy with 21 pts but shooting 55% rather than 50% (last season), so fewer shots; 11 rebounds; 2.3 blocks, and 5 assists. [With all the double and triple teams he sees he should be able to get other guys easy shots.]
The wolves have shooters around Jefferson now. Ellington, Gomes, Pavlovic should all shoot close to 40% from 3 point range. Flynn should be at least in the mid-30's as well. Love can also spread the floor. As teams double and triple Jefferson he needs to find his teammates for open looks and get assists. That would be a big improvement. If he only swings the ball out of the double, it gives teams more time to get the defender double teaming back into position.
Good luck AL!

It was an interview that Jefferson gave. I'm looking for it.
But someone else quoted from the same interview in the posting below on Bleacher Report.

Id be happy just to see Al on the court healthy and his knee holding up for the whole season, but it's good that he's setting the bar high for himself, but with Love expecting to play more min and them playing together at the same time, i see him having his regular point avg and rebound avg, but he should definitely have more assists, and more blocks now that he's in better shape.

I talked about this earlier in the summer. Jefferson could radically improve his efg by shooting less jumpers and focusing on his inside play. His inside play is almost unstoppable but he settles for the outside shot 60% of the time.
I think having a real point guard will improve his numbers as well. Nothing like a drive and dump. My dream is 18/11/3 with 52% more FT and passing/defense.

Kurt has said in interviews that he wants Jefferson to play outside MORE.
Use his quickness to go by guys like he used to do to Yao.
He also wanted him to improve his jumper. [the outside jumper as opposed to the jump hook.]

That's it? We better trade for Anthony Randolph immediately.

I don't think we've got the assets for Anthony "MagicAmare'KG" Randolph. I mean, we could offer Jefferson + Love + Rubio + 2 1st rounders, but I think the warriors hang up the phone immediately.

Then you call back and cave, sending Blount and Pavlovic as well.

GSW fans say no. They have Randolph pegged at 42 PTS 23 RBS, 7 BLKS, 5 AST... and he's going to grow.
Remember when they used to come over here and say what a valuable piece Patrick O'Bryant would be in a KG deal?
Good times, good times.

.
Do you have a link to that stat? I have hard time believing you're not misrepresenting it.

Stop understating "The Messiah" and his talent. He'll obviously have more blocks, assists, and steals and average a quintuple-double for his career.

Are they counting his jump hook as a jumper? I don't remember him taking that many jump shots.

They have to be. There's no way more than 50% of Jefferson's shots last year were face up jumpers.

He did shoot a lot of jumpers. he would pump fake, pump, pump and sometimes shoot it.
