Hollinger - most likely to have big upside this yr - Session
Hollinger in his chat, said Sessions was the most likely to have a break out year, like Devin Harris last year.
His other candide was Kevin Love.... even better than he projected for both....WOW.

I think both will put up way better stats than last season.

He's not just saying they do better than last season....
He's saying the have the potential to become stars like Devin Harris.....
That was the question.... who has the potential to have a "breakout season" like Devin Harris last year.
The first player volunteered was Sessions.
someone else asked a follow up and the second choice by Hollinger was Love.

Re: Hollinger - most likely to have big upside this yr - Session
Hollinger actually seems to like the Wolves a lot.
I can't imagine that Sessions will have a simular season to Devin Harris last year. Always thought that Harris has got a bit more potential.
Anyway I didn't say they would just do better. I said they would do way better. Dunno if they'll have a breakout season but I feel like they'll improve a lot.
What makes me worry about Sessions is that he didn't really manage to beat out Ridnour who IMO is pretty overrated. Might be just because Sessions is very underrated.

thats one game... against his former team.... many players have difficulty against their former team... the first season.....
This is a completely new offense...with a new cast of characters for Sessions...
They'd practiced the offense for one week at that point.
And point guard, according the Kurt, is the hardest position to learn in this offense.
He'll be fine.

Courtney Lee, Channing Frye, Anthony Randolph, and Roy Hibbert (Among others) have a pretty good shot for a break out year too.
I do think Love Train and Clinic Sessions are going to combine for some awesome "Love Sessions" this season, but I don't think they are the favorites to get M.I.P or anything like that.
It is nice to see the wolves get all the positive media coverage for once, but I'm not going to put too much stake into it.

^They look just like Spinal Tap.
According to Bucks posters, Sessions looked bad in the preseason last year so he may just be one of those guys who puts more effort in the regular season.

Am I the only one who's surprised by how much ESPN/media love the Wolves (or at least their individual players) have gotten in the last 10 days or so?

No. Hell, I feel like we've been on the nba frontpage more often this season than the whole last season

Only reason he didn't beat out Ridnour is Scott Skiles. He ridiculously outplayed Ridnour on the offensive end and was just as good if not better on defense. Problem is, he was prone to defensive and sometimes offensive lapses which Skiles couldn't stand. But honestly, what second year (pretty much a rookie) player doesn't have some lapses?

Well, I hope that is true

You are right, he was pretty much a rookie last year.
He only played in 17 NBA games in his first year.
In those games he had one with 24 assists.
As Hollinger said, getting Sessions for the salary we did is the steal of the summer.

I'll agree with him that it was the steal of the summer. I love your guys' signing of him for the exact same reason I wanted the bucks to keep him. If you can have your point guard rotation set for the next 4 years (and you'll have Rubio which could make one a great trade piece) for under $9 million per season that is a great way to allow you to pick up pieces elsewhere.

Flynn could also be very good.
He was the second best in summer league.
He has a chance to be very good, as well.
