Could he play shooting guard for a championship team if we can't resign Ray?

To answer your question: Marquis Daniels couldn't be the starting SG for 25 current NBA teams, let alone a contender.
What are your real motives???
I'm beginning to think that your plan is to promote Wages of Wins, Rubio rumors, and the Celtics. You want us to trade Rubio's rights for Ray Allen, because WoW predicts that would make Boston unstoppable for the next 5 years.

never suggested trading Rubio for Ray Allens rights.
That would be a stupid trade.
I only deal Rubio for a YOUNG all star calliber player in my view.
If someone wants to get Ray Allen his contract is up next summer. Doesn't look like Ainge is resigning him. Ray is a free agent.
If we had no other options at a great YOUNG shooter, I'd suggest getting Ray, but only in the free agent market.
Why trade an important asset like Rubio for someone you can get just for "MONEY", it wouldn't be smart.
