THROWBACKS!!!

Post#1 » by Klomp » Sun Oct 25, 2009 4:00 am

The Minnesota Timberwolves will unveil their schedule of six Hardwood Classic games for the 2009-10 season at the IDS Crystal Court on Monday, Oct. 26 from noon to 1:00 p.m. The Wolves will also unveil the throw-back uniforms they will wear during the Hardwood Classic games.

Wolves broadcaster Tom Hanneman will host the event, which will also include a Q&A with Wolves VP of Basketball Operations Fred Hoiberg and a chance to win tickets to the Wolves' first three home games and the six Hardwood Classic games.

Truly great news.
I haven't been so pumped about anything the Wolves have done since they drafted Brandon Roy.
I wish they'd think about wearing them into perpetuity and/or some facsimile of them.
This is going to be a great year!

Do you think they are going throwbacks this year because we are predicting to be as horrible as we were in the franchise's first few years?

I have the KG rookie jersey. If I could drop about 20 pounds it might actually fit.

I might have to spend my lunch down at the IDS today.

How embarrassing/hilarious would it be for us if the throwback jerseys were the ones from 2 seasons ago?

Looks like they are going with the originals:

Uni Watch knows this is hard to believe, but there was once a time when the numbers and letters on the Timberwolves' jerseys were actually legible. And they're proving it by adding this throwback design, which will make its on-court debut on Dec. 5.

Did anyone go to the unveiling? Is this accurate? I like, if so.

Yeah, I love the old royal blue and green. I hope they copy the Sixers idea and wear them full-time next season. No strange trim or arrows, a nice simple design.

I'm just on a little campaign to get rid of the Werepig logo. Using the secondary logo on these throwbacks would have been a step in the right direction.

My friend found a Hardwood Classics one at a thrift store. He paid 8 dollars for it.

I would love if they did this with the secondary logo on the shorts as their alt jerseys next year.

No you’re wrong. And wrong some more and more and more …

We’re sick of the Christmas trees, werewolf logo, obnoxious cartoon number/ lettering and unidentifiable design on the side. We deserve better. We had better. Never should have changed. End of story.
