Waaaaaaay too Early 2011 Draft

Post#1 » by revprodeji » Sun Nov 1, 2009 2:58 am

We talk about draft prospects for 2010 draft, but I want to say I am pissed that we have no 2011 pick. Harrison Barnes looks amazing.

How do we not have a 2011 pick?

Realgm claims

Minnesota's own 2010 1st round pick to the L.A. Clippers (top 10 protected in 2010, top 10 protected in 2011, and unprotected in the 2012 Draft). [LA Clippers - Minnesota, 8/12/2005]

But most of the time I have heard that 2011 is unprotected also.

Canis says 2011 is protected.

Good. ok, /rant.

(*Ironically, my hope would be that we lose the pick in 2011 because our team is better then the top-10 protection allows---then Rubio coming over (either for trade or play) would be basically our pick that year--actually I could see his rights dealt for a rookie that year..interesting)

Yea I saw that. JonG said the same thing in his hoopshype column. I do not understand that comparison with Flynn already being a better offensive player then Watson. If Watson could draw fouls and get in the paint like Flynn he would be a much better player.

Draftexpress has a lot of whack comparisons, don't put much stock in it.
