I'm ready to take some heat for this, but:

MIN Out: Jefferson, Rights to Rubio
MIN In: Biedrins, Randolph

GSW Out: Biedrins, Randolph
GSW In: Jefferson, Rights to Rubio

Flynn / Sessions / Hart
Brewer / Ellington / Pavlovic
Randolph / Gomes / Wilkins
Love / Randolph / Cardinal
Biedrins / Hollins / Jawai

Yes. I actually really like this deal. I think Randolph would be very good in this system. Biedrins is not near the offensive player, but is a decent defender. Rubio is the perfect Nellie pg and if the warm weather rumor is true San Fran is beautiful (spend large parts of the year there)

Good deal Klomp. Simple, but sweet.

This deal was on the trade board awhile back. The GSW fans said they wouldn't trade Randolph or AB for Jefferson straight up. They didn't value Rubio at all. I am not saying they are right (of course they aren't), but I still don't think the Warriors would do this deal.

And if I had to pick between AB and Randolph I would go with Randolph. Pek/Love/Randolph would be an amazing frontline.

Don't think the Warriors like that deal.

They are better off keeping Randolph and Biedrins at PF and C than losing two frontcourt starters for Jefferson. They've got Curry and Ellis so they don't really need Rubio.

It kind of saddens me to think that (arguably) our two greatest assets (Jefferson and rights to Rubio) could only land us Randolph and Biedrins. I hope we could do way better.

Reminds me of when someone suggested that we go after Joe Alexander (and it wasn't early in the season either).. Look where he is now.

You build around guys like Jefferson. Not give them away (plus other assets like Rubio).

I’ve been going to NBA games since the mid-sixties in Chicago/Philadelphia. Been a season ticket holder since '95.

If you have been watching basketball for that long you should know a post based player shouldn't be your "go to" guy if he can't/isn't willing to pass out of the double team. So yes we would be lacking a "go to" guy if Al was traded, but that doesn't change anything.
The season ticket holder comment is funny, as if that has anything to do with knowing other teams.

I can't get a feel for Randolph from RealGM posters. GSW has some really good posters, but they all lose their sanity whenever they talk about any young player on their team. They are in my opinion, the fanbase that most over-rates their youth .. and that's saying a lot. However, I'm sure you all remember how they kept insisting that guys like Pietrus and POB were such awesome assets in a KG trade?

I think the trade is interesting, but I'd keep what we have (and GSW fans would probably say the same). I don't think that Biedrins is at the same level as Al Jefferson. I'm not as concerned about Jefferson's lack of passes out of the double-team. On our squad, he probably had a better chance to score, double-teamed, than Telfair did left open on the wing. His defense may not be what we want yet, but he's shown the commitment to improving his game, and having perhaps the guy with the league's best low-post moves is something that is invaluable. Biedrins, though stronger on defense, doesn't have this ability or, in my opinion, the drive to approach that ceiling.

As for Randolph, he's a very nice player, but I've heard from mroe than one GSW fan they wouldn't trade him unless it was Chris Paul, Kobe, or Dwight Howard. Unbelievable. Moreover, I don't see why we're talking about trading Rubio now anyway. He's only going to get better, and his chances of coming to the NBA will only increase if we simply do nothing but wait. While the two GSW players would be a nice fit, there are very few Rubio trades I'd consider until at least this summer.

But in fairness since he’s been in Minnesota, Al has been our only consistent performer game after game after… But if this is your argument to trade him, I’m not buying. I liken Al to Moses Malone. You just don't trade guys like that (especially at his age with his contract).

As far as the season ticket thing. I personally have seen Al destroy Biedrens on a couple occasions. I guess it left quite an irrevocable impression on me.

Offensively, I would agree with you. However, on the defensive end, Biedrins has more potential. He had more rebounds per game than Jefferson in almost 7 less minutes per game last year.

I think Love and Biedrins is a combination that has more potential than Love and Jefferson.

If Randolph is a fraction of what Warriors fans think he is, that would be our dynamite wing we've been looking for since.....................Sprewell?

I can respect that, but thats not what you were saying before. You were trying to make yourself seem more credible with your season ticket talk when it had nothing to do with what we were talking about.
