The latest reports, by the way, have him coming back within the next two weeks.

Good to hear. He didn't break his shooting hand, so I was expecting him to be keen to get back early. There's no point rushing it, but it's not like he's got a major ankle or knee injury. I don't think he'll be missing too many more games.

He's trying to rush it. I don't think he'll be back before December.

he's been drinking lots of milk. 1%. So he's pretty much ready to go in a couple weeks.

finally a high post passer that will allow al to be the dump off post, and can actually hit cutters. I think (hope) love has a greater effect then we are assuming.

I really hope he's not pushing it too much. There's no reason to risk a worse injury in an effort to cut the margin of defeat in a few games.

i can't wait for someone on the team who can rebound! lets hope he can shoot too. it'll give the team 2 dynamics we've been lacking all year.

I 100% agree with you.

This is good news, it will be exciting to see what our team at full-strength looks like.

Full strength? Now that's a foreign concept to me. Before you said that I didn't realize we had some player by the name of Al Jefferson in the starting lineup.

I don't really think a broken bone in your non-shooting hand will have such an impact on your game when it's (hopefully) completely healed but I'm no doctor either...

I read on Rotwire (i think it was that) that he will have his hand x-rayed on Friday and if all looks good, will resume practicing with the team so that goes with the "within two weeks" time period. Looks like sometime around the beginning of December. I can't wait. Love's rebounding will be huge for starting some fast breaks.

Love wasn't a particularly good passer last year (from the high post that is, he did live up to his reputation of being able to throw a good outlet pass occasionally, but that's hardly a game changing skill. Plus, who's going to catch and finish it this year I wonder?), and his jump shot still looked broken in pre-season. I wouldn't expect too much from him immediately on his return from a broken hand. It would be nice to seem him play some consistent minutes next to Jefferson this year so we can finally get some idea on whether the two can play together successfully.

I don't think they can start together in a championship team. One must be moved inevitably.

Also, good news on the injury front! I fear it will be a struggle for Jefferson though to get back to 100% this year - I tore my acl a few years back and it was a long road back.

I can't wait for Love to whip that outlet to Brewer and then for Brewer to flail, stumble and turn it over. Good times.

sometimes he flails, stumbles, and converts the layup though. Sometimes even gets fouled too.

The NBA, where that happens.
