Love Interest

I'm a big Love fan. He plays the right way, hustles, and is a big body up front. I watched a lot of his play last season and although many of you may disagree I don't think he is a good fit next to Al.

With that said I wanted to know what your thoughts were about Tyrus Thomas (who I think will blow up if given mins like he did late last season when playing 30+mpg).

John Salmons and Tyrus Thomas for Love and expirings?

Let me have it. I personally think the both of them would really help you and be really good fits.

it's nice to have an interest but this package won't get it done.

call me a homer but nothing outside of Derrick Rose would interest the Wolves to trade Kevin Love.

unless something changes in the near future, i think Jefferson gets traded before Love.

Is Love valued higher than Al, Rubio, and Flynn?

I'm just wanting to gauge his value in Wolves fans' eyes.

Understand that MIN is not playing for this year. Salmons could walk next season, and you didn't pick up the option on Tyrus Thomas, so why exactly do you think MIN would trade Love for that package?

AL looks different since the injury. He's playing careful but he will recover and do what he does.

Would Noah and Salmons interest you for Al?

Noah has been beasting this season and I think him and Love would be nasty together, the best rebounding duo in the league.

We really don't have a for sale sign on Kevin Love's back. It doesn't even look like we're trying to balance out the roster and we are more focused on acquiring the best talent available (see Rubio and Flynn). Of course we won't be able to keep drafting power forwards and point guards(at least with the intention of keeping them), but we're in no rush to win now. And as a side note I don't like that trade.

I think if Love or Al is moved it would be Al. (I think neither will be moved) If he is moved it would need to be an elite younger wing player (Granger level). He is a building block.

From what I have gathered your GM wants to play uptempo. Thomas brings shotblocking and an uptempo style. I think Thomas is the perfect fit next to Al at PF. They would be a good inside outside combo on offense and Tyrus would be tough coming from the weak side on Defense for the blocks.

Salmons is just looking for mins and fair paycheck. He is a good vet and hard worker and would be a good fit too. Tyrus won't be looking for big money and he will be restricted so you could match anything.

problem is, Love has already shown more in his rookie season than TT has in his three years.

When is MIN playing for? They are empty at SG and SF. What FA would sign to play in MIN.

You will have to trade some young talent away for young vets.

Thomas averaged 18 and 9 with over 2 blocks in a two month stretch last year when he was given mins.

I totally understand why you guys love Love. I do to. I think his cieling is 18 and 10 with decent defense. IMO Thomas and Salmons would bring wins to the table right away and would your whole team better. If you could flip Rubio and your pick this year for an all star level SG or SF you guys would be in biz.

In "two to three years," president of basketball operations David Kahn believes the Wolves can be a playoff contender in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, have fun at Target Center and don't get caught up too much with the scoreboard.

"The worst thing we could do is set expectations too high," said Kahn, who was hired in May to help take the team into a new era. "If we try to persuade people that we're ready to make the playoffs right now, that will blow up in our face. We're too young at this point."

Translation: We're going to suck for a few years and I even set myself a 3 year cushion to make the playoffs. That way if I don't get it done in two years I can say I already told you it was a three year process. It's all part of the plan.

no doubt about your last point but it wouldn't make sense to trade for lesser talent and/or for good vet players that won't stay here in the long run. plus we're basically in year #1 of rebuilding v2.0 so it doesn't make sense to pull off such a trade already.

Why are you offering us Tyrus Thomas and John Salmons, when MIN could get both in the off-season with their cap money, and not trade Love or anything at all?

I think this isn't well thought out.

Do you guys like the Love Jefferson frontcourt long term?

I thought Kahn wanted an uptempo team.

I love Flynn by the way. I think he will be better than Rubio.

Thomas is restricted and Salmons may opt in.

This is obviously a FIT trade.

I don't think many players are going to MIN via FA. IMO you're still a bit away from contention. If you way overpay you may get a 2nd tier star via FA.

I just got to meet him on Monday & get his autograph, so you could offer me anyone on your team & I'd turn it down.

When healthy Al is the best low post scorer in the NBA. It will take him months to get back to peak performance.

Wouldn't even "consider" trading Al, without getting a legitimate star back in return. There is no combination of talent on the Bulls that would interest me... note: we have a couple of good PG already.

we have lots of cap space & a nice young core. outside of Rose & possibly Noah, I'd take Al, Love, Sessions or Flynn over anyone on your roster. Plus we got Pekovic and Rubio in the wing to improve our team either on the court or by trades.

I've never been a T2 fan. Always wished the Bulls had kept LMA.
