11/13 @ Dallas
11/14 Memphis
Seems like Dallas has the edge at every starting position. Everyone knew Memphis @ Minnesota would be bad basketball, but now we will probably be 20 points uglier.

I think it will be interesting to see how they play. Granted no go to post scorer, but they should have some better team play I hope. More pick and roll maybe without Al down low? IF there is a possibility of trading Al down the road, will be interesting to see how the team plays and what different style there may be on the court.
Granted, we are a better team with Al, not saying we aren't, but could be a glimpse of things to come and how the team plays if Al is on the block for a star wing ever.

I'm so taking Jonny Flynn for +/-. I'm looking forward to the 24 minutes of garbage time. Hopefully these two games will probably put him at the top of the ROY race.

I don't think we will be that much worse. Hopefully we will move the ball more. I hope Al's family member is ok.

from what I saw last year when Al went down, I think the ball movement and team play (I mean literally) will improve. I don't want to imply we are in a better situation to win a game though.

Gotta spend money to make money.

Well, to look at it realistically. We were gonna lose the Dallas game anyway and Memphis' strength is wing scoring, which plays nicely into our weakness. So, I'm glad Al is getting a chance to rest his knee but I'm sorry for his circumstances.

Who will likely start in his place?

It would seem like your boy Jawai. He's been Al's backup the past couple of games.

My guess is Hollins will be the starting center. But in the end, does it really matter when you have to choose between Hollins, Jawai, and Pecherov?

Love should be back, that'd be nice. I'm predicting a lineup of...
Flynn-Sessions-Brewer-Gomes-Pecherov.
Dear god...

If you dream about being a playoff contender in 2-3 years, the beatings won't hurt as much.

Oh no, that would break Rambis' golden rule.
The family illness might be part of the reason why Al's been down this season. I hope he can come back a bit more motivated.

Hopefully Al's family member gets well or if they are dying that they pass in peace.
I believe the ball movement and tempo will be much improved tonight as it was when Al sat the last 2 preseason games.

His Grandmother passed away on Thursday. She was like a mother to him.

I thought I would post this:
Al Jefferson returned to the Timberwolves on Monday morning, four days after he left the team bound for Florida to see his grandmother one last time.
"I got the chance to see her before she died," Jefferson said after Monday's practice. "She died 30 minutes after I got there. That was good for her and me. She told my auntie four days before she died that she was just waiting on me."
Annie Bell Randolph died Thursday afternoon in Fort Lauderdale. She was 83.
"Luckily, I got there just in time," he said. "Thanks to my team, my coach, my GM for understanding and making me feel really comfortable, because at first I didn't want to leave. I was going to wait until Sunday, when we had the day off. Coach let me know it's real important that family come first. It made me feel good about leaving. I'm glad I did."
http://www.startribune.com/sports/wolve ... anchO7DiUrThe article goes on to say that Darrick Martin was in Florida with him, and they worked out daily and watched game tape too...
