MN cap, trade, and assets questions?

A lot of attention is being paid to what the Wolves may do in the draft or upcoming FA. This is understandable with our current performance, ugh.

What I'm interested in is, what are we looking to do between now and the trade deadline?

1. Is trading our cap space for a good player on a long term deal still something we want?(this idea has gotten little hype lately, here or on c. hoopus boards)
2. Are we still willing to trade talent to increase our cap space next year?(i.e. Gomes, Sessions...)
3. Are we still looking for young expiring talent(i'm using this word very loosely here) to take a look at?(Adam Morrison, Tyrus Thomas, Joe Alexander, Amir Johnson, Hakim Warrick...)
4. Are we willing to help some teams save money by climbing under the lux-tax?
5. Is there really anyway we trade Jefferson?

What do you want to see Kahn do before the trade deadline?

Me, personaly:
1. Unless its CP3, I'm not sold on this idea.
2. Gomes/Pavlovic/Hart for Scalabrine/T.Allen/Giddens/2nd round pick?- It makes us worse now, saves us money next year, gets a pick, saves BOS money now, and helps KG get another ring?
3. I'd take a shot on any of these guys as long as the deal was expiring for expiring, or some other Gomes trade.
4. Yes, as long as we get an asset in return.
5. I don't think we will trade Al this year. I don't know what the future holds.

1. this offseason is our biggest chance to improve the team, I'd rather not do a trade before the offseason because it F's up the draft pick, but if its CP3 or someone elite like that then you have to go when you have the chance.

2. Wolves don't seem to want 2nd round picks judging by the OKC trade, I'd make trades w/ Utah and Charlotte though if we can get reduced protection on their 1sts out of it somehow

3. I'd gladly take them, but only for veteran expirings in return. No good players, no picks.

4. for assets, agreed

5. have to be willing to trade anybody when the team is this bad, but what value could Al possibly have right now, he looks miles away from Big Al of last year. And even that Big Al had a lot of work to do, he wasn't exactly dominating the paint on both ends.

About those second round picks...

Why wouldn't we want them? Is there any limit to how many Euros we can stash?

Would it be a bad idea to stash one or two Euros a year and just see what happens? You know, just take the shotgun approach over there with about 10 guys at any given time. It sounds like a great player development/scouting approach to me, but what do I know?

I'd like us to draft Robin Benzing in the 2nd round if he declares.

He needs to learn a lot but he has got a lot of talent and great size

they should want them, but they use them to make a quick buck. They gave away that kick ass 34th pick to Miami in '08 rather than upgrade the team w/ Chalmers, Jordan, Asik, MbahMoute, or CDR. All those players would be a welcomed addition. I'm sure the 2nd rounder this year is going to be put to good use too.....by OKC. Thats why OKC is awesome and the Wolves are not. Amongst other things...

no more euros please,i dont get the point of stashing players overseas its getting out of hand
there is a lot of talent in college that allway falls to the 2nd round even though there good players,we should be chasing after them
