Thorpe on ESPN has ranked the top 20 sophomores. I was wondering where Kevin Love was on that list. Does anyone have insider so they can check?

He was an honorable mention because he's played so few games. He said to check back next month and Love could be high up on the list.

I really hope they don't announce the rookie-sophomore roster soon because I want Love to get a chance to play. And of course Oden is out so that can only increase his chances.

from what I can recall they announce the roster by the time they announce the ASG rosters so Love actually has enough time to earn a spot but in the end lose it to someone inferior.

I can't remember the list, I saw it somewhere else but Rose was like 16th and that one ugly euro douche from the bucks was like 4th...

I really hope MN gets some representation this year:
Flynn in the rookie soph game (likely)
Flynn in the dunk contest (please? they always have a short guy, let it be the Fly man)
Love in rookie soph game (I'm gonna say he get's poo'd on by a guy like Anthony Marrow/Gallinari/Chalmers/etc. I also think that the soph roster will have 2 starting bigs (beasly and thompson) and the rest will be gaurds.)
EDIT - forgot Brook Lopez. How big are the rosters anyway? 9 or 11? Love should make it, but could definetly get the cold shoulder to someone else whose played more games on a winning team.

IIRC the Rookie/Sophs rosters have 9 players each.

Love should make the sophmore team, it'd be nice to see him throwing fullcourt alleys and draining 3s.

Who else will be competing for a spot? I narrowed it to 10 players (only 9 participate), but then it gets iffy.
Gasol/Lopez (I don't really care who starts
Thompson/Love
Beasley/Gallinari
Mayo/Gordon
Westbrook/Rose
I'm imagining that last spot will be a fight between Gallinari, Rose, and Love.
Blair
Gibson Jerebko
Casspi Budinger
Evans Curry Harden
Jennings Flynn
Maybe Hansbrough or DeRozan could participate. The biggest problem is if they choose Harden. Then it will be a choice between Curry and Flynn.
In the end, I think Minnesota will get to have just one player in the game.

^ hey don't be surprised if Lawson makes it instead of Jonny.

Jason Thompson is not gonna get in the game before Love imo. I could see Beasley being held from the roster too.
