I could kinda understand the Jefferson trade w/ getting cap space and a high pick because I'm starting to think Love/Jefferson is too hopeless a defensive combo to win a chip and there's some half decent 2nd tier big men in free agency, but this trade has us also throwing in the Utah pick and that NYK pick isn't in very good shape right now and the Knicks are starting to play w/ confidence. Could end up Big Al/ pick 20 for James Johnson/pick 8. We getting the shaft

I would be pissed if we did either. Utah would also reject the 1st one. If they could afford to add non-expiring salary, they'd just re-sign Boozer and keep their draft pick rather than take on Big Al.

The Knicks pick is #6 right now, but they are only 2.5 games out of making the play-offs in the East, and turning their pick into #15. Tyrus Thomas' option wasn't picked up - he's a free agent next summer. James Johnson is a so-so prospect, and we're giving up a 1st too? Too rich for my blood.
I think the second trade is more interesting, and I think Morrow could do well here. However, even while we are moving salary, we are moving some players who's salaries are low compared to their production. I'm not sure the package would actually fit the Warriors, but they are a hard team to get a feel for, since their posters claim they have young superstars coming up to fill every position.

Yeah the problem with this is that the NY pick has to yield Wall/Favors/Turner/maybe Henry or we get totally hosed. We're not going to take that risk. NY is going to continue to go balls out to win games all year while other teams tank. Don't like those odds.
Any Jefferson deal with the Bulls has to net us Sideshow Swede.

Love/Noah is kind of lacking offensively. If you're moving Big Al, I don't think you're getting better w/ guys like Noah or Biedrins, but I think a guy like Bynum makes sense. Bynum would get touches here and it would keep him mentally involved and therefore motivated on D, he could be a beast for us...no real good reason for LAL though I guess.
