How about Kevin Martin?

Not sure if you guys have seen this yet, but Chad Ford introduced an idea in his ESPN chat today about Kevin Martin to the Wolves.
"I think the Kings are already beginning to explore their options with Kevin Martin. Clearly Tyreke Evans is the teams new alpha dog and they'd be better off with him playing the 2 and getting a real point guard on the team. I think there will be a lot of interest in Martin when he comes back and could definitely see the Kings making a move by the trade deadline. I wonder if the Wolves would send a package of Mark Blount and Oleksiy Pecherov's expiring contract and the rights to Ricky Rubio whether the Kings would bite. Would be a great deal for both teams."
Just curious to see what you guys would think about that?

I think Rambis likes guys that can play defense, stay healthy, and don't kill ball movement when it's in their hands.

I could let his poor defense slide for now(assuming he would work on it all season)but the injuries just make this deal shaky. IMO i see a second-coming of Michael Redd

Isn't Martin an off-ball type of player? How does he kill ball movement?
His defense is awful though; I think I'd rather wait and see what we get in the draft before we make this type of move.

Turner + Gay > Martin + empty pockets

I have nothing against kevin martin, but he should be a last resort for this team.
hes a good player, overpriced, and doesn't have all the qualities we need at that position, considering how important the 2-guard really is in our system.

I agree with the general sentiment in this thread. Martin is a good player, but he just isn't worth what it would take to get him.

Yeah. Decent player but his positives don't outweigh his negatives, especially on this team. Wait until the draft and make a deal like this if we get shafted in the lottery, or wait until the summer and just absorb his contract outright.

31/21/22 (and counting)
That's how many games he's missed the last three years. That's nearly a full season out of 3 years. I would take him for exprings and the Utah + Bobs picks, but I wouldn't include Rubio, Flynn, or our pick for him.

Why did he even include Rubio? Martin wasn't worth the 5th pick going into the draft. Has Rubio's value been lowered so much?

Kevin Martin is an off-the-ball player, but once it's in his hands it doesn't come out. Now he's very effecient with it, but we're preaching ball movement, now bowel.
