Love's insane rebounding

At 12.9 rpg, he is tied with Dwight Howard for #1 in the NBA in RPG, but I don't think he's played enough games to qualify yet.
Also, having only played 11 games so far, he's tied for 24th in the league for number of double-doubles at 9.
Love is #1 in reb/48, once again, not yet qualified, though (officially D12 is currently #1 here)
Love is currently tied with Zach Randolph for #1 in offensive rebounds per game (4.6)

What are the qualifying terms?

I'm pretty sure it's number of games played. They don't want one guy who played one minute and grabbed 2 boards and that's it all season to be #1 in reb/48.
He'll get there.

It's obviously games, the leaders are listed in rebounds per game, but he's asking what percentage of games do you need to have played in?

I found this, but it doesn't seem right.....seems rather high

Those requirements are probably prorated while the season takes place.

So basically Love's already missed too many games. He'll have to get over 800 rebounds to be listed among the leaders.

OK, I did the math. Maybe its not so high. The minimum amount of rebounds is 800. Love missed 18 games this year, so he would need to average 12.5 per game to reach 800.

so if my math is right he needs to average 11.4 boards per game to qualify. given his current pace it should be doable.
edit: well my math seems to be lacking. or my reading comprehension. whatever it is, I'm getting dumber each and every day

If that's what he wanted to know, that's what he should've asked, rather than a general question. How should I know what he does or does not know, I have no idea who this guy is.

So Love will not appear in official rankings until he reaches 800 rebounds? Love has to average 12.5 rebs for the remaining 53 games, still doable but he can't afford to miss any more games.

No, thats just the number for the end of the year. For example, we've played 29 games, so he needs 283 to qualify today. He currently has 142.

So how soon will he appear in the rankings at his current rebounding rate?

Best rebounder since Dennis Rodman. Wolves are going to be owning the rebounding crown for years to come like we did during the KG era. You add Big Al's 11-12 RPG numbers to that as well and teams are about to get jacked up on the boards.

Probably at the end of the season. I'd guess not before the last 4 or 5 games because he averages 12.9/per game and needs to average 12.5 to make it at the last game of the season.

Imagine what will be if we find a defensive-minded C who can also rebound the ball to pair with Al and Love

couple games before the end of the year. Remember he need to average 12.5 (and he's currently averaging 12.9) for the season and then he would just hit 800, meaning his prorated total would be under what it needs to be to qualify until the bitter end.
