With my +26 score in +/-, I'm sure you agree that I'm more than qualified making trade proposals
With that said, how about Flynn for Casspi?
Minnesota improves its shooting
Minnesota saves money for 2011
Sacramento balances its roster (Nocioni, Casspi, Udoka, and Greene all play SF)
They don't have a lot of depth at PG (Udrih and Rodriguez)

Funny enough, I don't know if Sacremento does that, and Minnesota could never justify it.

Personally, I'd rather try to do the whole Flynn for Fernandez trade. It accomplishes the same goals, but it has the added benefit of bringing in Ricky Rubio's BFF.

That's a fantastic idea cpfsf. Unfortunately I voted both teams reject it. Oh well.

i also said both decline. this is not the kind of deal you make half way through their first seasons. I think its in both teams best interests to give them some more time to get settled. Only way I include either of them in a deal is if its part of something larget to net a big name, not a straight up trade in hopes its convenient for both teams.

cpfsf is a sad panda, this is one trade I would have done (often times I wouldn't even pull the trigger on trades I propose).
I was really high on Casspi before the draft (still am). Really I just want this trade because it allows Rubio to be the full time point guard while bringing in a talent roughly equal to Flynn.

Hell no.
Casspi is overrated.

I was about to post this on the Sacramento board, but they have a thread that Casspi is number one on ESPN's Insider, so I'm going to hold off on that.

There's a difference between 'wouldn't happen' and 'shouldn't happen.' Obviously it wouldn't happen. But it makes sense to me, so it should.
Flynn is the more prominent rookie, but Casspi has been a better player. It's a better fit for both teams. Sacramento sells its fans on upgrading from a 23rd pick to a 6th pick who's been getting starter's minutes for his team. Minnesota sells its fans on fixing its mistake and getting the better player. Both teams accept.

I don't think Minnesota fans think we made a mistake. I think the trade would bring bad juju.

actually he's not. and yes, he's been a better player than Flynn.
there is no way Sacto will give him up for Flynn though.

And there is no way MIN gives up Flynn for Casspi either. Casspi is playing better than Flynn but Flynn is also being forced to play a role he has never played before. And its entirely possible that he will never grow into this role as a passing PG. But I think we need to give a rookie PG learning a difficult offense, a little more time than just 1/2 a season.

Sweet! I think that's the first time I've been sig'ed. I feel like I've arrived. When do the royalty checks start coming in?
