Trade Scenario Based on Draft Position

So let's say NJ gets the #1 overall pick.
Then let's say Minny gets the 2nd or 3rd pick and Evan Turner is available.
Would you trade Ricky Rubio and Evan Turner for John Wall?

I'm of the opinion that if we were to get the number 1 we should take Wall and trade the other point guards to fill out the roster.
With that said, though, I wouldn't do this trade. I think Wall is the more valuable and more talented player (at least NBA-wise) between Rubio and him, but his value isn't that much higher that he would cost an elite prospect like Evan Turner to get him.

I'd pass also. Wall looks to be the better PG prospect but I don't think the difference is Evan Turner.

No, wouldn't even consider it.

+ 1
I would be stoked to put Rubio and Turner together. Turner and Wall are mighty close in my opinion. I disagreed with the rest of the article, but SI's Ian Thomsen recently said scouts he talked to put Wall 1 and Turner 1 a.

What if it were one of Terrence Williams, Courtney Lee or CDR and the #1 overall for Rubio and the #2?

I think most wolves fans view Turner as being just about as good as Wall.
I'd just assume keep Turner or Wes Johnson and keep the rubio

Still no. We probably overvalue Rubio more than you think and undervalue your wings more than you think. Lee, Willams, CDR don't do much for us. They're on par with Brewer, Gomes, Sessions in my opinion.
And to complicate things we would still have to trade Flynn. Doesn't make a lot of sense.

Nope, still blatantly insane. I think most here will argue that Turner and Wall are somewhat close in skill, but the difference between Rubio and any of those guys is immense. We consider Rubio to be a potential franchise player. Trade for Iggy or overpay for Gay and add Turner and we've got one of the best youngest teams in the NBA.
I also want to add this.
http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=hollinger_john&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fespn%2fblog%2findex%3fname%3dhollinger_john• Scoring rate decreases 25 percent
• Rebound rate increases by 18 percent (there are more missed shots in NBA play)
• Assist rate increases by 31 percent (Euro scorers are tightwads with assists)
• Shooting percentage drops by 12 percent
• Overall, PER drops by 30 percent.
http://www.euroleague.net/competition/players/showplayer?pcode=LFWNote the assist rate. The one thing I don't understand is if this means Rubio will probably average 7.33 APG (he averages 5.6 APG in 20 MPG) which would place him 9th in the NBA today, or do we need to calculate how they'd do in roughly 33 minutes of action which would calculate to 9.24 APG which would bring him to 5th in the NBA. Either way, not bad for a guy who is 19 years old.

No. I don't think it's guaranteed Wall turns out better than Rubio or Turner, and I like a potential Rubio/Turner pairing more than a potential Wall/*Insert Young NJN SG/SF*.

I was hoping this would have went over a little better.

I'd rather have Turner than Wall. We don't need Four point guards, and Wall isn't a sure thing, certainly not more than Rubio and Turner...
I like Rubio more than Wall, to be honest, way more experience versus better players than Wall.
The Wolves need Turner.

Flynn as a legit starting NBA PG is still debateable...
Rubio ever coming here (remains all rumor) is still unknown...
We don't have an NBA starting caliber SG...
We don't have a defensive presence inside...
I'd say we're open to all options. Plain and simple, we cannot handle another Foye/Roy mistake. Fortunately, Wall and Turner both appear to be solid and low risk.

I'd do it, especially if you added CDR or Lee. Turner is gonna be a really good player, but he doesn't have that top gear athletically to take the ceiling off his potential like Wall does. I don't think there's any chance Turner is ever gonna be talked about in the same breath as Dwyane Wade, but I could easily envision some Wall or CP3 conversations. As for Rubio, I've been tired of him for awhile now already, I don't like players that cause distractions, I think its an easy price to pay for Wall.

what if we get the #1, then trade a rubio package for the #2, draft wall and turner, and sign gay.
Ya i know, very realistic

So you would not want LeBron here?
