let me be the first to say that I'm not very interested in all star weekend. I think we should have a permanent 12th man spot reserved for Gerald Green so there's at least one national NBA event that we can win in.

Who's brilliant idea was it to put All Star Weekend on the opening weekend of the Olympics?

True, true. Very, very bad scheduling.

Doesn't affect me because I don't care about the Olympics. :D

I'm looking forward to the bikini contest. It looks like the returning gold medalist Vladislav Tretiak has some competition with Brian Boitano who has a good chance for an upset.

USA USA USA

Lindsey Vonn has the bikini contest wrapped up.

Seriously though, as much as I like basketball, if it's a choice between watching Casspi/Rondo/Durant play G-E-I-C-O or watch speed skating and alpine skiing I'm not going to be watching the former and neither are most Americans. The NBA is going to get smoked. Stupid, stupid planning.

I don't know that GEICO would be a huge ratings draw no matter what it were going up against. I also don't think there's nearly as much interest from an American standpoint in the Olympics, particularly the Winter Olympics, as there used to be. Honestly, the only reason I may watch speed skating is because I find it funny that the Colbert Nation logo is on their unis.

I want to see 1 on 1 games, to me thats the most interesting idea. Then they don't even need stars, Jamal Crawford vs Flip Murray would be kinda awesome because their skills would show up in 1 on 1. Hell, McCants would probably be good at that.

And 2 vs 2 G.E.I.C.O. legends vs actives -how awesome would Jordan/Bird vs Kobe/Durant be? I'd love that.

^LOL I hadn't gotten that far in my thinking. Good thing figure skating isn't on the schedule this weekend. Oh wait, it is! Figure skating at 5:30 and the all star game at 6:00. It's going to be a bloody Valentines.

Seems like a lot of guys aren't playing in the All Star game. Rose is out, Bryants out, Iversons out. Am I missing anyone?
