NJ won't do it. I would, though.

I would do it. I don't think NJ would though because of Al's extra salary and Harris.

Hmmm.... But according to some people Wall is the next Lebron, you don't give a F about Harris if you have a chance at Bron-mini.

If Wall was the next Lebron, we wouldn't be trading him.

Yeah, I can't say I've ever heard that before. Not even from Chad Ford the president of the John Wall fan club.

I don't know a lot about Turner, but I would do it. That trade would balance out our starting line-up very nicely.

I think I heard Bull Simmons call him a Mini Lebron.

Don't fool yourself. NJ has no problem taking Turner, they arent giving up Lopez that easily.

Wall is easily the most valuable player in this deal.

Posters may like Brook Lopez, but he is no draw for the Nets. NJN's attendance is barely 13,000 .. last in the NBA. A new city and John Wall in New York? Marketing gold.

NJN would have to use its cap space, but are they likely to get a star with it as good as Jefferson? I don't know.

Interesting deal.

I think both teams would do this. NJ can't say no to Wall, especially if he helps bringing in fans and a great FA

I think it's pretty close and we would have enough filler to get the deal done.

I'd be surprised if they'd do that, Turner/Harris/Williams/Yi/Lopez makes a ton of sense, but Harris/Wall/Yi/Jefferson has no roster balance at all

Good point DSW.... either way I think they have some good options. Keep Turner and try to sign Bosh/Amar'e/Johnson or get Wall then go after Johnson/Gay and try to trade Harris for a true C (Pryz & Rudy/Bayless ?)

I think NJ would jump at this deal, but I would not as a Wolves' fan. Lopez is going to be a borderline all star center for a long time and that has tremendous value, but Wall has a chance to be a top 5 player in this league. You win with superstars and Lopez is not a superstar, Wall has a better chance to become one then anyone who's come out in the past two years (maybe longer).

Turner's upside is Roy. Again a great player. Probably a top 15-20 guy in the league but he'll never be a superstar. I think for Portland to ever win a title Roy has to play Robin, not Batman. (Detroit would be the one team I can remember that won w/o a superstar type player)

No.

You're going to have expand on that one, it's not Kevin Durant came out last year. Wall is probably the best prospect over the last two years.

When's the last time a team won a title where their best player was a point guard? Magic? Isaih? And even then, those teams were stacked.

I think Turner is actually underrated. For some reason that happens to SG's. Jordan went #3, despite being the best player ever. Kobe went #13. Roy went #6 and was traded for Foye. I'm not saying Turner is the next Jordan or Kobe, but who knows. When Jordan was picked #3 no one thought he would be that good. When Kobe went #13, no one thought he would be the next Jordan.

I don't think anyone can say Turner's upside is Roy at this point. He's already quicker with the ball, a better rebounder, a better passer, and a better defender than Roy was in college as a Senior. As for shooting, Roy didn't develop that part of his game until his senior year. He only shot 20 3 pointers as a Junior and only 57 in his firt 3 years in college. So comparing a 21 year old Turner to a 21 year old Roy you have to say they're pretty much even in that regard. while Turner might be better at evreything else at the same age.

From a prospect standpoint (and that qualification wasn't put on the statement), Rose was better (just as athletic, same pure PG rep, stronger frame). Griffin's right up there as well, dynamite athleticism, great work ethic, well rounded offensive game, crashes the glass. Having the benefit of seeing what they've done in the NBA, it's tough to say Wall has a better shot at superstardom than Westbrook and Evans, who both came out in the past two years. I'm also in the minority that thinks Turner has as good a shot at becoming a superstar as Wall.

Wall's up there, probably one of the 5 or so guys with the best chance at becoming a superstar in the past two years. A lot of what his riding right now is the hype that comes from being a big name at a program like UK, for a high profile coach with a rep as a PG guru. There's a lot to like about him, but right now the hype has surpassed the production.
