I will be at this game tonight. My first Wolves game of the year. I'm predicting a win. Why you ask? Well, I've been to two Wolves games outside of MN in my life, and we won them both. (3 years ago in PHX and last year against LAC). So you can see its pretty much a lock tonight. My girl and I will be representing all you faithful with matching KG jerseys amongst the delightful denizens of SoCal. Good thing we're not going to a Dodgers game. We would surely be shot or stabbed. (no joke!)

Rambis was on the radio out here yesterday, 5 points caught my attention:
1) Laker radio personalities Mason and Ireland are idiots. One of them asked about Rubio. He said something like, I gotta ask about Rubio. No one we've talked to can understand that pick. It just seems like such a bad move. We know you didn't pick him, but how did you feel when he was picked? Is there anyway of salvaging anything from that move? (not an exact quote, but you get the picture) Rambis absolutely disagreed with them. He stated all the info we already know. He can't wait to get Rubio on the team.
2) He said he expected this year to be this bad. He was not down on the guys effort. He said its just one step in the big plan and he is not worried. He has been pleased with the development of our young guys and expects them to continue to improve.
3) Rambis loves Darko. He said he wants him back next year. He basically said he is the perfect center for his system. He really went on and on about his defensive ability, his BBIQ, and his multifaceted offensive game.
4) He said we do not have the players to fulfill the vision of Kahn and himself. He wants to "get up and down the floor much more than we do now." He said we don't have the players for it now but we will in the future. Overall he did not seem frustrated, and came off very confident in what the team has been and will be doing.
5) He said the weather in MN is not as bad as he thought it would be. He said he has adapted fast and when its 45 it doesn't feel cold. He also said he will not be in MN for the the 4 of July. He will be having a BBQ here at his place in Redondo beach.

I'm in section 301. That's the best we can afford.
Did you catch that interview yesterday? If so, am I remembering it accurately?

edit - 2,500th post and it went to some costumed dweeb sniffing a wiener dogs behind.

I stopped listening to them when I broke my car atenna. Ireland annoys the crap out of me though. I'm podcasting this now. Good find.
I'm fortunate to get free suite tickets about a dozen times a year. I'm going to the Wiz game sunday, but for some reason I can never score Timberwolves tickets when they come into town. Someone more important than my hook-up always requests them and he can never get them. I did see them @ the Clips earlier in the year and was able to sneak down to about the 10th row, which was cool.
301 isn't bad though. That's center court if I remeber right.

Rambis really raves about Darko here -- also calls Jefferson and Love two PFs.

Usually I try to catch the Wolves whenever they're in town, vs the Clippers or Lakers, but I have plans tonight. Going to tivo the game, I want to see Corey Brewer baptize Fish again.
