the most epic (Pizza) EVER

We need to do something epic. It's the only time we ever get attention. We started it with the KG trade, than the Love trade, than drafting two point guards. We need to top it all.
Draft Johnson
Sign Pekovic
Trade Sessions for Conley
Trade Gomes for expirings + any asset
Trade Big Al for expirings + Aminu
Resign Milicic
rough draft of minute distribution
Milicic (29) Pekovic (19) Hollins
Pekovic (10) Love (29) Aminu (9)
Johnson (29) Aminu (19)
Brewer (30) Ellington (18)
Flynn (24) Conley (24)
-Why Johnson? I think with our lotto odds, he’s most likely to end up here.
-Pekovic is 24. I think he should be able to claim the starting position.
-Conley’s contract ends after the 2010/11 season and should be just enough competition for Flynn. IF Rubio comes in 2011 like Kahn claims, than this would be perfect timing.
-Really wouldn’t need Gomes with that roster
-Aminu is versatile, brings some much needed D, rookie contract, and is really young.
-Milicic wants a starting role and about 30-35 mpg game. Well I would be willing to let him start and give him about 30 mpg. That’s not too much to ask.
What about our other picks? Well, maybe package picks together to move up, draft BPA, or maybe even just trade them. If Aminu, Johnson, or Pekovic bust than that draft pick can get more minutes. Hypothetically if Milicic bails (I think he will stay), than we can trade the Utah pick for Splitter. I MIGHT (not a good chance) trade the Bobcats pick and the Utah pick for Splitter and the Spurs pick if nobody looks good at #17.

Did you just randomly decide to attach a poll to your post?

Well, he did clear a shiz ton of cap space for 2011, so if you can connect the dots, it makes sense. But normally the OP is supposed to connect the dots for you if he's trying to make a point.
cpfsf should be tarred, and feathered.

The sad thing is that that team would be more competitive than ours now.

Am I the only one that feels this isnt really that epic?
I was thinking you were going to try and cash in our "chips" Celtics style.

This doesn't strike me as "epic." Each move seems decent, but none of them is a signature move that would really excite anyone. I guess you are putting off the big move until the 2011 trade deadline and/or summer, by collecting more expirings and likely positioning us for another high draft choice. I just find it depressing to imagine having to be this patient through another year of horrible losing. We probably won't contend for the playoffs next year no matter what. But I've been clinging to the hope that our "core" team will be assembled (except Rubio) by the start of next season, so that we can at least start to grow attached to these guys and daydream about a day in the near future when they will be playing meaningful games late into spring.
Anyhow, the one move above I don't like is signing Pekovic. From the little I've seen of him, I just don't see him being a meaningful piece on a winning team. Seems too slow, short, and brutish. Does anyone strongly disagree? Would appreciate hearing your reasons if you do.

This team would be poised to win 16-17 games next season.

Starting 2-3 rookies with another coming off the bench, while keeping only 5-6 players from the previous season, and making the new guys learn a new system is enough to bring in a nice 2011 draft pick. Harrison Barnes says hi btw. We would be absolutely loaded after the 2011 offseason. One injury wouldn't destroy this team. Furthermore, our guys should be in better shape because they wouldn't have to play anything near 48 minutes.

MIN IN: Aminu, Conley, expirings, more expirings, second round pick
Lots of other teams IN: Jefferson, Gomes, Sessions
I say that meets the criteria of an epic offseason. Everything just comes together. But ya, I'm looking at the 2011 Lottery. That's actually the reason I made the poll instead of what did you think I had for breakfast. It was a Nutrigrain bar and apple juice btw. I don't fear rebuilding another year. Rebuilding should be finished by the beginning of the 2011/12 season because according to Kahn, Rubio will be here in 2011 and the pick to LAC loses it's protection in 2012. I don't see us becoming a playoff contender with our current assets. Even if someone believes we could become a playoff contender, I still want that depth that many of the best teams in the NBA enjoy.
I wish I could say more than what DX and NBADraft has to say. I have only seen 3 games (very boring). All I can say is if he has a breakout season great. If he doesn't, who really cares we didn't break the bank and Aminu and Love can take over.

Maybe we have different definitions of epic.
Q - When you tried Domino's new recipe pizza did you say "whoa, this pizza is epic!"?

I haven't had the new Domino's recipe. I've heard good things. Would ya'll suggest it?

One question: do you like your pizza covered in flavory salt?
My opinion on the new pizza: I wouldn't kick her out of bed.

there is nothing like an epic pizza experience, sadly Los Angeles wouldn't know good pizza from tostino's. Last week I went out on my birthday to this cool italian place thinking, 'it's italian, they have to know how to make good pizza.' The atmosphere was cool but the za itself tasted like greasy cardboard. I could barely eat two pieces. When the za is good I can eat a whole pie myself. Very disappointing.
Cpfsf, you should change to the breakfast poll, that could at least make this thread epic.

I don't even want to think of the vile, disgusting things you would do to a Pizone. Perv!

Salt? I prefer my pizza was covered in sausage. I love the sausage.

Jerkstore's definitely never kicked a sausage out of his bed. How do you think he got the name jerkstore, you know, being such a nice guy and all?
