-We have a great expiring in Prince. Use it. 2 top 5 picks in the draft + Iguodala. Nothing else needs to be said.

Philadelphia IN: Prince + Brewer + 17 +24

-According to ESPN (not just my own opinion), Iguodala is best suited for the small forward position. This happens to be the position that Thaddeus Young plays which makes this man very expendable. This deal brings future cap relief for a team due to pay Iguodala 56,500,000 from the 2010/11 season to the 2013/14 season. The Sixers need a shooting guard badly. Their 0.092 chance off getting a top 2 pick probably won't be enough to land Turner, which is why the #17 pick is so important. The 76ers hit the jackpot when they drafted Jrue Holiday. Now they need a shooting guard who can hit the 3 and be a defensive presence on the perimeter.

-Philadelphia may want a guarantee that Anderson or Henry will be available with the #17 pick. That would make me cringe because I want the deal finished immediately. Other assets we may have to trade are Wayne Ellington, Houston 2010 second round pick (Philadelphia traded their second round pick to Milwaukee), or Nikola Pekovic (traded to a fourth team).

I think this is an easy yes for MN. I think Philli will want more, perhaps Detroit too.

Yup, that's what I assumed. I'm going to mix it up a bit.

I'm not usually a fan of expanding trades but, taking Krap's idea from his game, you could add Houston to this deal:

Minnesota IN: Iguodala + #5
Minnesota OUT: Jefferson + Ellington + #17 + 24

Philadelphia IN: Prince + #14 (Henry)
Philadelphia OUT: Iguodala

Don't know if Philly would want Henry and Ellington (maybe they would) but Ellington could go to Detroit in that case or maybe throw in Gomes instead.

I really like Brewer and want to keep him. He's the last player I want to see traded.

I am also not a huge fan of Iggy or his contract.

I'd still do it.

For Detroit to be interested I think you have to make the assumption that Cousins and Favors are off the board at #3 and #4.

Intriguing. If we were to get Wall or Turner, we could draft Favors/Cousins with our 2nd top 5. If we wiff in the lottery, we could go Favors/Cousins and Johnson with the picks and put Iggy at SG. I could certainly live with either outcome.

If we do this trade with Detroit, I don't want to see Prince become a regular expiring.

One of the picks has to be Wesley Johnson. I believe my perfect offseason would be Turner, Johnson, Milicic, and Pekovic. I could have said Wall, but I can not stand another of Roy/Allen/Mayo articles and Rubio trade proposals. We can sign Pekovic and Milicic without any problems.

I can't wait for the lottery.

I do like this trade because it's thinking big and that's what Kahn needs to do. Move some assets and bring in some real prospects. If we could add Turner, Iggy, and Favors/Cousins in one offseason, I think I'd...well I can't type what I'd do but use your imagination.

Now that you mention it, a 3 man rotation of Turner, Iggy, and Johnson would be interesting. Play each 32 minutes and you've got a great deep lineup with Milicic and Pekovic. I wouldn't rule it out. However, when I created this, I was thinking worst case scenarios. One of which was us drafting #5 + #6 with us drafting Johnson and Aminu.

That deal would not interest the Sixers. Brewer is a nice player but he's not close enough to Iguodala to warrant moving him in order to obtain two mid-round picks in an average draft.

I definitely like the opening trade, but don't think Phi would do it. Maybe if we added Hollins and Gomes to Phi while taking on Dalembert that would work. Philadelphia would shave about $8mm in salary for next year which increases due to their luxury tax savings.

This trade has a lot of good stuff in it.

There's been talk on the trade board from DET posters who may be willing to give up Jefferson for Prince and the pick (depending on how high the pick is), so I think that's reasonable. Prince has been playing better and better though, which is probably not something we can take advantage of next year. It makes sense to send his value elsewhere for something that would help us down the road.

On the PHI board, many believe with their financial situation that Iguodala will be gone next year. Personally, I think the young Brewer plus an expiring plus picks is a decent price. They like Iguodala, but he's not cheap, his deal is not short, and they complain that he doesn't make the team a winner.

I question though whether Prince's ability is as wasted in PHI as it would be here in MIN. It seems to me that a fourth team might help, that could take Prince and use him, and with that additional trade value, send PHI something a little better. I kind of like the idea of Prince here for a season with Brewer, perhaps as a mentor.

This is the same basic idea that Detroit fans have been thinking. I think they would go for it.
And Iggy is not worth his contract, so I don't actually want to pay them picks to get him. I'd just cut them out of the equation. This is like trading for Okafor, and paying them picks for the privilege. Why would we do that again?

If I was Joe I wouldnt do this deal without getting a future pick or dumping more salary. Prince and #5 is a very high price historicaly when you factor in the value of expireings and the value of draft picks. I respect Jefferson and would love to have him on my team but a top 5 pick and 12 mil in cap space is alot to pay.

You've got about a .621 chance of landing the #5 or #6 pick. By this point Favors, Turner, Cousins, and Wall are all long gone. The class isn't as loaded as the 03/09 class, but you never know. It will either be a hit or miss at this point. The trade off is established talent versus a prospect on a rookie contract. It all depends on what direction you want to go.

Philly would not move Iggy in this deal, and honestly I can't see MIN getting Iggy & 5 for Al Jeff and role players/filler.
