The 5 on 3 got me wondering. I know only 2 players per team may serve a penalty at the same time, making a 5 on 2 impossible.

So my question is, what happens when someone commits a penalty during a 5 on 3?

The refs REALLY blew that call on the goal. It was a clear kick. The PP goals actually happened tn! HUGE difference maker for us! Kreider is coming into his own fast and that line (Kreider, Callahan, Stepan) has potential to be LETHAL. I'm really excited about tn and I think Hank is a HUGE advantage in a clutch game 7.

Gotta love the Rangers chances during a game 7. The #1 seed, at home, inside of Madison Square Garden? Gotta love the Rangers with this one.

Don't watch hockey but is it very common to see a 8th seed team advance often? Seems to me like every year a 8th seed team advances , already 1 this year.

I hope the rangers win though.

The penalty is called and it is delayed until one of the other penalties has expired.

The only teams we were going to annihilate in the first round were the Capitals or Sabres. The power play has been crap all year and so has Dubinsky. I know I'm in the minority, but that Rick Nash trade should have been made.

Didn't they want Dubinsky AND Kreider? Kreider has way too much potential for that deal. Nash is good but not great.

I thought it was just Dubinsky, Del Zotto, McDonagh, and a first. Could be wrong, the Nash rumors were as wild and inaccurate as the Melo rumors were.

I think we have the defensive depth to be able to give up Del Zotto and McDonagh. McDonagh has been great in this series though.

Something needed to have been done for the power play. Richards was supposed to solve that but he's been inconsistent on the power play all year. If you put Nash, Richards, and Gaborik on the same line that's probably the best line in the NHL outside of maybe Pittsburgh's top line.

Rangers offer was apparently Dubinsky, Tim Erixson, JT Miller, Christian Thomas, and a 1st. Doesn't seem like a lot name wise but Erixson is considered an elite prospect and Miller is considered future top 6. Getting Nash is not a total win because of his huge contract, as well. NYR was never going to offer McDonaugh or Del Zotto it would've been too big of a shake up to this year to touch any of their top 3 D when they were 1st in the league, and they still left high value prospects on the table in the above deal (Kreider and Sauer). A late 1st is also really valued, more like an NFL late 1st than an NBA one. I think if NYR offered Erixson, Kreider, and a 1st Columbus does it for sure. The deal I like the most though is scrapping that and just doing Marc Staal+ for Rick Nash. Rangers got to #1 by New Year's without Staal this year so they can live without him especially if Erixson just takes his minutes. CBJ gets an established big name and fills their biggest need (defensive zone play). Looks good to me
